40: Chocolatey Love

It had been a couple of days since the Daphne saga was over, she taken into custody by the council and they stated that strict actions would be taken against her.

Fairy Tail was rewarded with a million jewels, because Daphne was a wanted criminal and they captured her. So it all ended positively in Fairy Tail's side.

Since Gems was healthy, both him and Gray decided to go on a mission together, since they weren't able to go before due to Gems being sick. They got their job approved by Mirajane and left as early as possible.

Their job was rather a simple one, they just needed to rescue some animals from the poachers who were trying to create monsters by using their DNA. It was in the town named Redcap Town, which was a few hours from Magnolia via train.

They left at dawn so they could reach the town and complete the mission in the daylight itself. They found an appropriate hotel to spend the night in, left the luggage and went in to meet the person who posted the job request.

Gray and Gems worked really well when they were together, it took them only a couple of hours to find the poachers and get them captured, earning 150k jewels. Gray and Gems were so proud they did, especially Gems.

They treated themselves with spicy food and desserts. It was still a hard fought victory for them and luckily none of them got injured and that's all that matter. They sat in the hotel for a while talking about absolutely anything and everything and laughing together.

Gray paid the bill and they left the hotel and made their way towards their hotel room.

As the were walking, Gray took that opportunity and held Gems's hand, entwining their fingers together. Gems was shocked but blushed as he squeezed Gray's hand.

“Gray-” Gems mumbled, Gray noticed his cheeks were red and couldn't help but smile.

“I took this particular mission because nobody in this town knows us, we can be free.” Gray as he looked ahead. “I can hold your hand in public, kiss you in public and be all lovey dovey, and all without hiding.” he added.

Gems smiled as he realized that and wrapped his other arm around Gray's bicep and rested his head on his shoulder as they walked. “If that's the case, hold my hand all the time.” Gems replied.

Gray blushed at the closeness, they've never been this close in public and Gray loved every second of it. “You're giving me a boner already.” Gray said while blushing as he put his other hand in his pocket.

“Well our hotel ain't that far from here.” Gems replied with a giggle.

“Oh don't excite me like that!” Gray said and Gems laughed as they walked.

As they were walking by, they spotted a medical shop and something crossed Gray's mind. Gray took Gems in the medical shop immediately. Gems was all red when Gray asked the shop owner for a packet of condoms.

Gems was shy and couldn't even say anything when the shopkeeper asked them what flavour they wanted. This was Gray's first time too, but he had to maintain his posture since he was dominant one.

Gray just paid for packet of chocolate flavored condoms, he knew Gems would like that and immediately left the medical store with Gems as they both completely ignored the shopkeeper saying “Have fun and enjoy the night!” to them.

“Gray!” Gems was blushing. “What was that?” Gems asked as he grabbed Gray's hand again.

“Well we never tried that so I thought we should-” Gray replied.
