Staring up at Azrael for a moment, seeing her stern gaze, I smiled and laughed. Turning away to cover my mouth, tears of joy forming in my eyes and streaming down my face. "Is that so?"

Azrael smiled. Raising a hand to cup my face, leaning down and kissing my tears away. "It is." She moving her other hand to cup the other side of my face, continuing to lay kissing on my cheeks. "This entire pack are your brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers, our children. We are a family, one giant happy family."

Ignoring my flush cheeks, I laughed, shaking my head. "Alright, alright, I understand. Anyways, I thought you wanted to head inside before the storm hit?" Azrael laid one more kiss before pulling back. "I suppose I did." She flashed a grin. "Let's get going before I keep kissing that beautiful face of yours, my little flower."

We continued walking to the mountain. My head down as I remembered all the kisses Azrael gave me. She can be so sweet sometimes, even though it can be a little embarrassing at times. "Az, I have a question."

"What is it, my love?" Lifting my head, I looked up at Azrael, tugging on a strand of my long hair that grew quite a lot. "Can you cut my hair when we get back? It's grown so much that I can't properly take care of it anymore. Plus, it's really a hassle to deal with when fighting."

Azrael nodded. "Sure. How much do you want off?" Thinking for a moment, I answered, "a few inches past my shoulders is fine. I don't want it super short." Laughing, Azrael agreed.

It didn't take long to reach the mountain, but when we did, the storm had arrived. Blowing harsh winds as heavy, fat flakes of snow fell down from the dark sky.

Keeping close to Azrael, wrapping my arms around myself to keep warm, we entered through the entrance. Azrael closing the large door behind us as I let out a loud sigh of relief, feeling myself warm up now that I was out of the harsh winds.

After that, we made our way to our bedroom, Azrael opening the door for me and letting me go in first. I turned to the fireplace to see that it was already lit, making the room a bit hot.

"It's a little warm in here." I said, walking deeper inside. Without hesitation, I started taking off my shirt, hearing the door closed behind me.

Paying no mind to that, I walked over to the dresser in the room. Putting my shirt on top of it before pulling open a drawer. Looking for a moment before taking out a short sleeve shirt that belonged to Azrael. Closing the drawer, I started to put it on.

"Wait." I paused, feeling a large hand be placed on my shoulder. Turning a little, I saw Azrael looking down at me-no...at my back. Her eyes full of sadness and pain. "Az? What's wrong?"

"I want to see how many times you needed me but I wasn't there to protect you." She whispered.

I shivered when the hand on my shoulder moved down to trace over the scars. Since my growth spurt, some of the lighter ones faded away while the deeper ones remained. I didn't really care but Azrael did.

Every time she sees any of my scars, I can feel her staring at them. Tracking them with her finger when she got the chance. Not saying a word even when I look back at her. I don't mind her staring, the only thing that pains me is the guilt in her eyes. I hate it so much.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I closed my eyes, humming when Azrael slowly moved her hand over to my stomach. Stopping over the scar that laid in the middle, the one that took our pup from us. I didn't move.

Azrael took a deep breath, leaning down to rest her forehead against the back of my head. Staying like that for a minute or two, she pulls away. "I should grab a knife to start cutting your hair."
