Azrael had everyone split up after entering the castle undetected. Leo with Roxie, Fawn with Birch and Hunter, Ash with Elder SiverStar, and of course me with her. We all went different ways to hurry along and find the false king.

Azrael and I sticked to the shadows whenever coming across any guards or castle staff but that was challenge. Azrael had to knock a few out whenever their eyes widened at the sight of us.

I watched as she punched the lights out of each one of them. Hopefully not causing too much harm but we'll find that out later. We continue sneaking away around, looking for the false king after hiding the bodies. Thank Goddess that Azrarl knows this place like the back of her hand.

After what felt like half an hour, we were about to walk to this large pair of white doors when both Azrael and I froze. My eyes widened when I took in three familiar scents. Looking at my mate, her gaze darkened.

Looking over at me, she gave me a look which I nodded my head at. "Ready." Staring at me for a moment, not noticing the shakiness I was hiding, she nodded back and turned back to the doors.

The two of us walked over and she didn't hesitate to push them open. Stepping in, my hand rolled into a fist at the sight.

King Aspen was sitting on the throne on top of a platform, a golden crown on his head. And at the bottom of the platform was Elijah and Maya.

Turning their attention towards us upon hearing the doors open, their gaze darkened. "How the fuck did you filthy mutts find your way here?" Closing the doors, I followed after Azrael as she strolled over to the trio.

"I challenge you to a dual for the throne, Aspen BlackWood." Aspen gritted his teeth and growled but pushed himself off the throne and walked down. "Dual accepted. I can finally get rid of you once and for all."

Azrael didn't say anything as she watched her brother take off his button up shirt and tossed it aside, still walking over before stopping in the middle of the room. Aspen walking over.

Turning my gaze away from the royal siblings, my eyes landed on Elijah and Maya who both looked equally annoyed and angry. Good. I have a score to settle with the two of them.

Seeing me watching them, Maya frowned. "Kin-slayer." She hissed, Elijah marching up at me with so much anger that it was coming off of him in waves, making my nose twitch.

"Are you talking to me or yourself?" I asked, rubbing my nose to get rid of the scent.

Ignoring me, Maya began following after Elijah while Azrael and Aspen silently stared at one another. Then in a flash, their clothes ripped and they shifted into their wolf forms. The last battle to determine our future started. Sounds of clawing and roaring filled the room, blood began spattering in their wake and on the ground.

Forcing myself to look away and back to Alpha Raymond's children, anger started to form. My eyes narrowing slightly.

"How's mother? I haven't heard about her these last few months." I spoke, shifting uncomfortably when the two started circling me, their eyes looking me up and down. "She's dead. Suicide a couple months ago."

I paused at the news. Taking a deep breath, my body relaxed. "How unfortunate. I wanted to do it myself but oh well, one less thing for me to clean up." My last clean up for the GoldenRiver Pack.

"I know what you did, mutt." Elijah spat out finally with distain, eyes focused on me. "You killed my father, now I'm gonna kill you."

A smirk formed on my face, my wolf clawing to get out. "Killing your coward of a dad was child's play. It was fun chasing me like a little rabbit and caving in his head. Seeing all that blood brought me some pleasure. I hope Hades has a special place for him, along with the two of us."
