Growling at what I said, Azrael pulled me closer. Slipping her sex out of me while I reached over to grab our pants and underwear. "Show yourself coward."
Putting on our wear, the hunter slowly walking out of the shadows. Rifle in hand and pointing at us, seeing this Azrael was quick to push me behind her, finish pulling up her pants.
"Well, well, well. What do I have here." He grinned, showing his yellow stained and crooked teeth. Even from here, I could smell how bad his breath was. He really needs to brush his teeth. "A couple of abominations fucking. How disgusting."
Azrael growled, moving myself close to her, I swiftly put my panties and pants back on. Feeling the hunter's eyes lingered on me, sending shivers of disgust up my spine. Baring my teeth at him, letting out a low growl, he scowled.
"What do you want from us, Hunter." Azrael growled, the hunter's eyes flicking to her. His gaze darkening. "I'm gonna kill you of course. You and your little bitch are gonna make me a find deal with-" He was interrupted when Azrael suddenly launched at him.
Making out a small gasp coming from him, he fired and missed when Azrael dodged. Striking a tree behind me, a few feet away from my head.
Eyes wide, he fumbled with his rifle, trying to reload but was taking too long with his shaking hands. When he finally did, it was so late. My mate was upon him, ripping his throat out and striking her sharp nails into his chest. A loud crunching noise filling the air before she pulled out his heart, tossing it away like it was nothing.
Walking over to her as the hunter's body collapsed to the ground, his red blood mixing with the white snow, Azrael let out a deep breath. "What's up with werewolves and always going for the throat?" I asked.
Glancing over at me from her shoulder, Azrael flashed a small grin. "It's just a wolf think." She shrugged, going over to the stream to wash the blood off.
Shaking my head and laughing, I moved over to the body and checked it for anything of value.
After a moment, my eyes laid on something sticking out of the hunter's pocket. Grabbing it and opening it, I saw that it was a map. A big one.
Glancing at it, I looked up and looked around, seeing nothing for trees. "Iris, what is it?" Azrael asked. I didn't say nothing, just continued to glance at the map before looking back up. Not liking my silence, Azrael walking back over to me and the corpse.
After a while, I finally spoke. "I think I know where we are." Azrael perked up at that. "You do?" Standing right beside me, she looked down at the map in my hands. I nodded.
"I think. If I'm correct, and I'm not really sure that I am, then we are somewhere in Nebraska. Isn't the Royal Pack in Minnesota?"
Azrael nodded. "Yes." She dragged out, keeping her eyes on the map. "I believe so."
Hearing the sounds of snow crunching, both Azrael and I snapped our heads to the side just in time to see Leo walking into sight. We relaxed at that.
He frowned, eyes darting to us then to the dead Hunter then back at us. "What happened here? The two of you keeping all the fun for yourselves?"
Rolling her eyes at his comment while I suppress a giggle, Azrael gently took the map from me. "When morning comes, we set off for the royal Castle."
Leo's eyes widened and filled with excitement and a small hint of bloodlust. He grinned, showing his pearly white canines. "As you wish, Alpha."
Humming, Azrael put a hand on my back before we started walking over to Leo. When we got closer, he sniffled the air and his grin on bigger. "Well, well, well, Alpha~ Was that hunter and I interrupting something?"
Gritting her teeth, Azrael growled. Putting a hand on Leo's face and pushing him away when we walked past. "Shut up, Leo." He laughed as we continued to walk back to the cave.
When morning came, we packed everything up before setting off in the direction of the castle. Stopping every few hours to check the map to see if we were going the right way.
Running when the sun was up and sleeping when it was down, it took a little over a week before we reached the castle. The moon high in the sky and werewolves all around. On guard, watching.
We had passed a town half a mile away, we didn't bother getting too close out of fear of getting caught. It was hard enough sneaking our way over to the castle without being caught by the wolves patrolling where their territory ends so everyone is a little on edge.
I could also see that everyone was getting sick of hiding, ready and inching for a fight. Their bright red eyes glowing for the upcoming bloodlust, my eyes were probably doing the same.
Pushing down my anxiety, I looked over at Azrael as she studied the tall, grey and Stoney building before us. Looking back after a couple of minutes.
"We go in silently, try to keep out of sight to not set off any alarms. There's probably more warriors inside so be on your guard, we kill the false king and this war is finally over."
Mumbling in agreement, the Alpha turned to me. A small hint of fear in her eyes. "Don't leave my side, Iris, okay?" My fingers twitched as a memory flashed in my head before I shoved it away. Swallowing the lump in my throat before nodding at my mate. "Alright."
Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, Azrael turned back to the castle. "Let's end this." With that said, we made our way over to the castle looming over us. Being silent and nibble as a mouse.
