"Don't touch him!" Swift yelled, taking full control of her person as she pushed herself off the ground and rushed over to the red head. Ignoring her aching side and the tiredness that was taking over her body.
The red head shewolf snapped her head towards her just in time as Swift leaped towards her. Eyes wide, the shewolf ducked out of the way only for Swift to notice. Not wasting a second, she reached over and grab the shewolf's jacket collar before both went crashing down to the ground.
"Ruby!" The blond hewolf yelled, grabbing his weapon when seeing his friend on the floor with the enemy Luna on top of her, ripping out her throat with her hand. "No!" He pulled out his gun and pointed it at Swift.
Seeing her mate in danger, Thorn too took control from Azrael. Letting out an ear deafening roar that made both Swift and the blonde hewolf covered their ears. The blond dropping his gun.
Tightly squeezing his eyes from the pain, the hewolf opened his eyes after a moment just in time to see Thorn right upon him. Not hesitating to grab his neck and crushing it with ease.
The last think Thorn saw in his eyes was pure terror before the light slowly disappeared. "Damn you." He whispered his last words before exhaling his final breath. They had failed.
But what did they expect? They were mere warriors, and they dare try to deal with Alpha blood werewolves bonded together by the Moon Goddess herself. Sworn to protect each other til the end of time. There was no way they were gonna win in the first place.
Watching as her mate breathed heavily, let go of the blond hewolf's neck, causing his body to fall back with a thud, Swift let out a loud sigh of relief. Flicking off the blood on her hand.
She groaned when a wave of dizziness hit her all of a sudden. Letting out a small moan of discomfort, Swift rubbed her forehead with her cleaned hand to ease her confusion.
Then, she turned her head and saw the trembling pup still hiding behind the door. Frozen in place by fear at what he just saw. Confusion and great alarm in his bright blue eyes that were starting to have a tint of red in them.
"Pup." Swift whispered, pushing herself off the corpse of the red head shewolf. Attempting to stand up only to full to one knee, letting out a small grunt.
Thorn turned when hearing her mate speak. Her gaze shifting from Swift to a cowering Flint, tears forming in his eyes with one rolling down his cheek. "L-Luna?"
Groaning, Swift shut her eyes real tight before opening them again, blinking a few times to get rid of the darkness that was taking over her vision and forced herself to look back over at the pup.
"I'm okay, Flint. Just tired." She motioned for him to come over. "Come here. It's safe, I promise." Sniffing, Flint slowly moved from behind the door. Glancing over at the corpses.
"Don't look at them." Swift ordered, making Flint snap his attention back to her. His small body trembling as another tear rolled down his face. "Look at me. Keep your eyes on me, pup and don't look away."
Silently nodding his head, Flint unhurriedly made his away over to Swift who wrapped her arms around the boy's body when he reached her.
And when she did, the boy bursted into tears. Sobbing as he hid his face in Swift's neck, wrapping his tiny arms and legs and around her.
Holding the pup close to her, Swift sighed. Feeling her entire body relaxed, knowing that the pup was now safe and out of danger.
Feeling a hand be placed on her shoulder, Swift looked up to see her mate. Thorn looked tired, ready to pass out m at any given moment but forced her eyes open.
"Let's get away from to door." She mumbled. Swift nodded at that, pushing herself up only to fall back down. "Careful." Said Thorn, catching Swift before she hit the ground, pulling her close to her chest. "The arrows had sleeping toxins on them. It's probably the reason why we are like this." Swift hummed in agreement, too tired to speak.
With that, Thorn dragged herself, Swift, and Flint over to the corner of the room. Taking a seat on the floor, back pressed up against the wall so she was facing the door. With her mate and pup on her lap.
By then, Flint's sobs started to quiet down. Still clinging to Swift as the trio waited for the warriors to finally arrive.
When the rogue warriors finally came to see what all the noise was about a couple minutes later, they saw the trio huddled in the corner. Thorn holding Swift and Flint close, her back still pressed up against the wall while Swift held Flint in her arms, using her head to cover her mate's neck. Eyeing the possible threats that started crowding the room, carefully walking over to the trio. "Alpha? Luna? Are you two..."
With one small but menacing growl, the warriors all stopped. Being a few feet away from trio. Staring at them for a moment, the lower ranks gulped and slowly took a few steps back. Seeing that, Thorn and Swift relaxed just slightly.
"What happened, Alpha?" A young hewolf warrior asked, keeping his gaze down as well as his tone.
"Intruders." Thorn answered with distain and venom. Pulling her mate and pup closer to her chest. "Searched the rest of the mountain and village to see if there are anymore. Be cautious, their weapons are poisoned that can knock you out in an instant."
"Yes, Alpha." The warriors spoke at once, bowing their heads before quickly leaving. Stepping over the blood and corpses in doing so, closing the door behind them.
When the door closed, Thorn relaxed. Letting out a heavy sigh, her gaze moving over to the three corpses. "I should have asked them to dispose of them. No matter." She looked down to see her mate and pup already asleep.
Flint snuggling close to Swift while Swift snuggled close to Thorn. Seeing this made a small smile form on the Alpha's face. Bowing her head, she pressed her nose in her mate's hair. Taking in her scent before closing her eyes and joining the other two to a land of darkness.
