Samantha accepted dinner and when she told Logan he had no problem accepting it either. At least not until Sam told him he would be evaluated by both of them. He already knew Erin and Jay, they were from the police and the way Sam said it scared him.
This wasn't his first girlfriend, he had already dated a girl for a little over a year and hadn't even formally met her parents. They met once on the girl's birthday, because her parents were from another city. So he thought he wouldn't need all this formality. Sam was already older and they weren't even Samantha's parents, so why was he so nervous? It was just dinner, right? He already knew Jay and Erin. He takes a deep breath.
- They won't hit you. - Sam takes him out of his thoughts.
- I know not. - he responds quickly.
- Are you afraid of them arresting you for stealing my heart? - She tries to ease his tension with a cheesy joke, but it wasn't enough.
- It's not the same thing, they didn't even care about me before, before I met you Jay would just say hi and that was enough, but after we became friends he stares at me from afar, looking at me as if he was keeping an eye on me all the time and now it's different. Now that we're together he's going to stare at me even more with his sister and I bet they must know that we already had sex. They'll be obsessed with me. - this gets a sincere laugh from Sam.
- It's okay, listen, they're just joking, okay? They always respect me and respected the fact that I am 20 years old. They're being nice and wanting to get to know the guy I'm dating, not as his kids' friend's older brother, but as my boyfriend. It's okay, I promise you, they're really cool. - she says giving him a peck and interlocking their fingers.

Friday has finally arrived. Logan was calmer this time, the conversation with his girlfriend served to calm his nerves. When he arrived at Jay's house he was even more relieved, it was just Jay's house, he had been there before, he was just going to be himself and it would be a nice dinner. So with that in mind, he knocks on the door.
- Hi... - Sam smiles at his boyfriend and hugs him. - They were fighting over who should come. - she says laughing.
- I'm glad it was you. - he smiles and when he leans in to kiss Sam, he meets the couple's gaze. Why did they look so strange and so scary? Well, he doesn't know the answer, but with that, he directs the kiss to Sam's cheek.
When the couple approaches, they introduce themselves as if they don't know him and Sam rolls his eyes.
- What it was? It's a normal introduction, we're meeting your boyfriend. - says Erin.
-Logan! - Jesse walks towards the boy, but is stopped by his father.
- He's not Logan, Jess. He's just Sam's boyfriend. - he says and looks at his son. Maya was the only one of the 4 who didn't join in the fun. She didn't understand what they were doing, but as she wasn't that close to the young man, she smiled and greeted him kindly.
- Just? Serious?
- We'll see if it can be more, for now it's good. - he says and this time Maya laughs.
-Does he find it funny? I want to see when they are your boyfriends. - Samantha says to the 8-year-old girl who looks disgusted.
- Eeeew. Have you seen the boys? They are disgusting. - Maya responds.
- You have had experience with 10-year-old boys, they grow up and become hot. - Sam arches his eyebrow.
- Do you want to be without a boyfriend? - Jay stares at Samantha.
