You had been harboring a secret crush on Lester Averman for a while now, but you never had the courage to tell him. You both played on the same hockey team, the Ducks, and were good friends. The entire team knew about your crush on him, but you had always kept it a secret from Lester.

One day, while you were packing up your gear after practice, you overheard Julie and Connie talking about you and Lester. They were giggling and whispering, but you could tell from their expressions that they were talking about your crush on him.

As you zipped up your bag, you heard a voice behind you say, "Hey, Ella, can we talk for a minute?"

You turned around and saw Lester standing there, looking serious. Your heart started racing as you wondered if he had overheard the conversation too.

"Sure, what's up?" you asked, trying to sound casual.

Lester took a deep breath and said, "Look, I know this might be awkward, but I overheard Julie and Connie talking about you and me. They were saying that you have a huge crush on me."

Your face turned bright red as you tried to think of how to respond. You didn't want to deny your feelings, but you also didn't want to make things awkward between you and Lester.

Before you could say anything, Lester spoke up again. "The thing is, Ella, I like you too. I have for a while now. And I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?"

You felt like your heart was going to burst with happiness as you looked into Lester's eyes. "Yes!" you said, smiling from ear to ear. "I would love to be your girlfriend."

Lester grinned and pulled you into a hug. As he held you close, you felt like this was where you were always meant to be. You had dreamed of being with him for so long, and now it was finally a reality.

Just as you were about to pull away from the hug, you heard giggles and cheers coming from behind the lockers. You and Lester turned to look, and to your surprise, the entire Ducks team was there, clapping and cheering.

"Finally, you two got together!" Julie shouted, as the rest of the team laughed and hugged each other.

You felt a wave of happiness wash over you as you realized that everyone on the team was happy for you and Lester. It was like you had just won the championship game, but even better.

"Thanks, guys," Lester said, grinning from ear to ear. "We couldn't have done it without your support."

You and Lester hugged each other again, feeling like the luckiest people in the world. From that day on, you and Lester were inseparable both on and off the ice, and everyone on the Ducks team knew that you were meant to be together.
