It was just another day at the rink, and you were playing hockey with Adam and your brother Fulton. As always, you were giving it your all, skating hard and playing tough.

But then, in the middle of the game, you got checked hard into the boards. You felt a sharp pain in your side and stumbled, falling to the ice.

Adam was by your side in an instant, concern etched on his face. "Allie, are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with worry.

You gritted your teeth, trying to ignore the pain. "Yeah, I'm fine," you muttered, trying to push yourself up.

But Adam wouldn't let you. He gently helped you to your feet, his arm around your waist. "Come on, let's get you off the ice," he said, leading you towards the bench.

As you sat down, wincing in pain, Adam knelt in front of you, his hand on your knee. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again, his eyes searching yours.

You nodded, trying to smile. "Yeah, I'm tough, remember?" you said, trying to make light of the situation.

But Adam wasn't buying it. "Let me take a look," he said, gently lifting your shirt to examine your side.

You gasped as his fingers brushed against a tender spot, and he quickly pulled away. "Sorry, sorry," he said, his face turning red.

"It's okay," you said, trying to hide a grin. It was cute how flustered he got sometimes.

Adam stood up, his hand still on your knee. "Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" he asked, his voice serious.

You shook your head. "No, I'll be fine. Just a bruise, I think."

Adam nodded, still looking worried. "Okay, but promise me you'll take it easy for a while, okay?"

You rolled your eyes, but deep down, you knew he was right. "Fine, fine, I'll take it easy," you grumbled.

Adam smiled, relieved. "Good. And hey, maybe we can relax and watch a movie tonight? I'll bring over some popcorn and we can cuddle on the couch," he said, his eyes sparkling.

You couldn't help but smile at his suggestion. "Sounds perfect, Babe," you said, leaning in for a kiss. As always, Adam made everything better.

As you sat on the bench with Adam, Fulton came over to check on you too. "You okay, sis?" he asked, his concern evident.

You nodded, giving him a small smile. "Yeah, just a little sore," you said, trying not to show how much pain you were in.

Adam put his arm around you, pulling you closer. "Maybe we should get you some ice for that bruise," he suggested, his voice soft.

You leaned into him, grateful for his comfort. "That sounds good," you said.

As Fulton went to grab some ice, Adam turned to you, his eyes full of concern. "I hate seeing you in pain, Allie," he said, his voice low.

You smiled, touched by his words. "I'm tough, Adam. I can handle it," you said, trying to reassure him.

But Adam shook his head. "I know you're tough, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer in silence. I'm here for you, always."

You felt a lump form in your throat at his words. It was moments like these that made you love him even more. "Thank you, Adam," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.

Fulton came back with some ice, and you applied it to your side, wincing at the cold. Adam kept his arm around you, rubbing your back gently.

As you sat there, you couldn't help but think how lucky you were to have Adam in your life. He was always there for you, through thick and thin. And even though his parents didn't approve of your relationship, he never wavered in his love for you.

"You know, Babe, I don't care what my parents think," Adam said suddenly, breaking the silence.

You looked up at him, surprised. "What do you mean?"

Adam took a deep breath. "I mean, I love you, Allie. And I don't care if you're not from the same social circle as me. You're the most amazing person I know, and I can't imagine my life without you."

You felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes as you looked at him. "Adam, I love you too," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.

He leaned in and kissed you, his lips soft and gentle. It was a kiss filled with love and tenderness, a reminder of all that you meant to each other.

As you pulled away, you felt a sense of peace wash over you. No matter what the future held, you knew you had Adam by your side. And with him, you could face anything.
