You and Guy Germaine have been the best of friends since you can remember. Your parents have been close for years, and you two have grown up as if you were family. You were inseparable as children, always playing and exploring together. As you grew up, you both started to develop deeper feelings for each other. But, Guy had a girlfriend, Connie, and you didn't want to come between them.

One night, while sitting on the porch, Guy opens up to you about his relationship with Connie. "I don't know what to do, I care about her, but I also care about you," he admits. You look at him, wondering what he means. "What do you mean?" you ask, feeling your heart racing.

"I mean that I have always had feelings for you, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship or come between Connie and me. But, I can't deny my feelings anymore. I love you, and I want to be with you," he says, looking into your eyes.

You feel a rush of emotions and are unsure of what to do. You know that Guy is still in a relationship, and you don't want to be the cause of any hurt. "Guy, I don't know what to say. I care about you too, but you're still with Connie, and I don't want to come between you two," you say, feeling conflicted.

Guy nods, "I understand, but Connie and I aren't dating anymore. I broke things off with her a few weeks ago. I just couldn't ignore my feelings for you anymore."

You're surprised and don't know what to say. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" you ask.

"I didn't want to rush things and risk losing our friendship. But, I can't keep my feelings bottled up anymore. I want to be with you," he says, taking your hand.

You feel a surge of happiness and excitement, but you're still hesitant. "Guy, I need time to think about this. I don't want to rush into anything and regret it later," you say.

Guy nods and gives you a small smile. "Take all the time you need. I'll be here for you, no matter what," he says, pulling you into a hug.

You both continue to hang out together, but now there's a different energy between you. You can feel the tension and the longing, but you both try to keep it under control. You don't want to jeopardize your friendship, but you can't help the way you feel.

One day, while walking through the park, you see Connie with Guy. You feel your heart drop, and you're unsure of what to do. "Hey, guys," you say, walking up to them.

"Hey," Connie says, giving you a small smile.

"Hey," Guy says, looking at you with a hint of sadness.

You can feel the tension between the three of you, and it's uncomfortable. "I'm going to go, I have to meet my parents for dinner," you say, trying to make a quick exit.

As you're walking away, you hear Guy calling your name. "Wait, we need to talk," he says, catching up to you.

"What is it?" you ask, turning to face him.

"Connie and I aren't dating anymore, but we're still friends. I didn't want to hurt her, and I still care about her. But, I also care about you, and I don't want to lose you either," he says, looking into your eyes.

You can see the sincerity in his eyes, and you know that he's telling the truth. "Guy, I don't know what to do. I care about you too, but I don't want to come between you and Connie," you say, feeling emotional.

"I understand, and I don't want you to feel like you're causing any problems. But, I can't ignore my feelings for you. I want to be with you, but I also want to make sure that Connie is okay with it," he says, looking at you with a mix of hope and uncertainty.

You nod, "I understand. Let's talk about this more later, okay?"

Guy gives you a small smile, "Okay, I'll see you later."

Over the next few weeks, you and Guy continue to talk about your feelings and what you both want. You know that Guy still cares about Connie, but he also wants to be with you. You don't want to come between them, but you can't ignore your feelings for him either.

One day, Guy tells you that he's decided to go back to Connie. "I've thought about it a lot, and I can't ignore my feelings for her. I still care about you, but I can't be with you. I'm sorry," he says
