As you walked into the locker room before a game, you saw Ken Wu sitting on the bench, lacing up his skates. He looked up and smiled when he saw you.

"Hey, beautiful," he said, holding out his hand for you to take. "You ready for this?"

You took his hand and sat down next to him, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "I don't know, Ken. I'm still getting used to playing at this level. Sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough to be on this team."

Ken looked at you with a serious expression. "Hey, don't talk like that. You know you're good enough, and you belong here just as much as anyone else. And if anyone gives you a hard time, you let me know, okay? I won't let anyone mess with you."

You smiled at his protectiveness, feeling grateful to have him by your side. "Thanks, Ken. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Ken leaned in and kissed you softly. "You don't have to worry about that. I'm always going to be here for you."

As the game started, you felt a thrill of adrenaline rush through you. You skated hard, chasing after the puck and weaving around the other players on the ice. You could hear Ken cheering you on from the bench, and it gave you an extra boost of confidence.

But as the game wore on, you started to feel tired and worn out. You missed a few shots at the goal, and you could sense some of your teammates getting frustrated with you.

Feeling down, you skated over to the bench and sat down next to Ken. He wrapped his arm around you and pulled you close.

"You're doing great," he whispered in your ear. "Don't let anyone get you down. You're one of the best players on this team."

You looked up at him, feeling grateful for his support. "Thanks, Ken. I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed."

Ken smiled at you. "I know how you feel. But remember, we're in this together. You're not alone."

Feeling re-energized, you got back on the ice and started playing with renewed vigor. You could sense the other players looking at you with new respect, and it felt amazing.

As the game ended, with your team winning by a narrow margin, you skated over to Ken and gave him a big hug.

"Thank you," you said, tears of joy in your eyes. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Ken hugged you back tightly. "You did it all on your own, babe. You're amazing. I'm so proud of you."

As you walked out of the rink together, holding hands, you felt a sense of contentment wash over you. With Ken by your side, you knew that you could take on anything that came your way, both on and off the ice. And that was the most comforting feeling in the world.
