It hurts to love you (L. Averman)

You take a deep breath and look at Lester, your heart racing. "It hurts to love you, Lester," you say softly.

Lester looks up at you, his expression serious. "What do you mean, Kylie?"

"It hurts because I love you so much," you explain. "I never thought I could feel this way about anyone. It's like my heart is bursting with love, but at the same time, I'm afraid of losing you."

Lester takes your hand in his and pulls you close. "You don't have to be afraid, Kylie. I'm not going anywhere. I love you too much to ever let you go."

You smile at him, feeling a sense of relief wash over you. "I love you too, Lester. So much."

He leans in and kisses you, his lips soft and warm against yours. You feel a surge of emotion, knowing that you're with the person you love most in the world.

As you pull away, Lester looks at you with a playful grin. "You know, I think I might be the luckiest guy in the world. Not only am I dating the most beautiful girl in the school, but she's also a hockey superstar."

You roll your eyes at him, but you can't help but laugh. "I'm not that great. I just have good aim."

He shakes his head, "No, you're amazing. And you know what else? I love the fact that you're Connie's twin sister. It's like getting two Moreaus for the price of one."

You smile at him, feeling grateful for his easygoing nature. "Yeah, Connie's great. But she'd kill me if she found out we were dating."

Lester grins at you, "Well, then let's just keep it our little secret. It'll make it even more exciting."

You nod, feeling a sense of thrill run through you. Your secret relationship with Lester may be challenging, but it's worth it to be with the person you love most in the world.

As you both get ready to leave the locker room, Lester takes your hand in his and squeezes it gently. "I love you, Kylie Moreau."

"I love you too, Lester Averman," you reply, feeling your heart swell with love.
