Take it (F. Reed)

Fulton Reed sat quietly in the locker room, staring down at his skates. He had just come back from Sarah Webber's funeral, and the weight of her absence felt heavier than ever. Suddenly, his teammates began filing in, and he looked up to see them all wearing solemn expressions.

"Hey man, how are you holding up?" Charlie Conway asked, placing a comforting hand on Fulton's shoulder.

Fulton shook his head, unable to find the words to express his grief. But his teammates didn't need words to understand - they had all known Sarah as his best friend for years.

"Did you want to talk about it?" Julie Gaffney offered, taking a seat next to him.

Fulton took a deep breath before starting to speak. "Sarah was...she was the best thing that ever happened to me. She had this way of making everything better, you know? And she loved me for who I was, even when I couldn't love myself."

The team listened intently as Fulton began to recite the lyrics of a song he had written about Sarah. "Take it...if she gives you her heart, don't you break it. Let your arms be a place she feels safe in."

As Fulton spoke, his voice cracked with emotion. "She always had trouble falling asleep, and she liked to cuddle while under the sheets. She loved pop songs and dancing, and bad trash TV. There's still a few other things...she loved love notes and babies, and liked giving gifts. She had a hard time accepting a good compliment, but she loved her whole family and all of her friends."

Fulton paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "So if you're the one she lets in...take it. If she gives you her heart, don't you break it. She's the best thing that you'll ever have."

The team sat in silence, taking in Fulton's words. It was clear that Sarah had been an incredibly important person in his life, and they all felt honored to have known her.

"I'm so sorry, man," Connie Moreau spoke up, her voice filled with sympathy.
