I can still remember the first time I saw Dean Portman. He was standing by the ice rink, looking all rebellious with his leather jacket and tattoos. I was immediately drawn to him, and before I knew it, we were both playing for the Mighty Ducks.
Since then, we've been inseparable. I know that I'm the good girl and he's the bad boy punk, but there's something about him that makes my heart skip a beat.
As we walked into the locker room, he grabbed my hand and pulled me close. "You ready for the game tonight, babe?" he asked, his breath warm on my neck.
I nodded, trying to keep my cool even though my heart was racing. He always had that effect on me.
We started to get dressed, pulling on our jerseys and lacing up our skates. As we were getting ready, he leaned over and whispered in my ear. "You look beautiful in that jersey, you know that?"
I blushed, feeling my cheeks turn red. "Stop it, Dean," I said, trying to hide my smile.
But he just grinned and pulled me close, wrapping his arms around me. "I can't help it," he said. "You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
I leaned into him, feeling his warmth surround me. "I love you, Dean," I whispered, feeling tears prickle at the corners of my eyes.
He pulled back and looked at me, his eyes softening. "I love you too, baby," he said, his voice low and husky.
We stood there for a moment, just holding each other, before we both had to snap back into game mode. But even as we hit the ice, I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky I was to have him in my life.
After practice, we were alone in the locker room, getting dressed for the game we had in an hour. I was struggling to put on my new jersey, and Dean came over to help.
"Here, let me help you with that," he said, his fingers deftly working the laces.
As he leaned over me, I could feel his breath on my neck. My heart started to race as I realized how close we were.
"Thanks, Dean," I said, my voice barely a whisper.
He turned to me and smiled, his eyes sparkling. "You know, I've been thinking about you all day," he said.
I felt my cheeks turn red. "What do you mean?" I asked, trying to keep my cool.
He leaned in close, his lips brushing against my ear. "Just how lucky I am to have you in my life," he whispered.
I turned to him, feeling my heart swell with emotion. "I feel the same way," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
He pulled back and looked at me, his eyes full of love. "I'm so glad we found each other," he said.
We stood there for a moment, just looking at each other. Even though we were surrounded by the noise and chaos of the locker room, it felt like it was just the two of us.
As we stepped out onto the ice, hand in hand, I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be. With my bad boy, my Dean Portman, the love of my life.
