As Fulton Reed and Marie Averman stepped onto the ice, they couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia wash over them. This was where they first met, where their love story began.

Fulton took Marie's hand, skating around the rink as their old teammates and coach skated alongside them. After a few minutes, Fulton pulled Marie in close and spun her around, causing her to laugh with delight.

But then, suddenly, he let go of her hand and dropped to one knee, holding out a ring. Marie's eyes widened with surprise and tears welled up in her eyes.

"Marie Averman, I have loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you. You are my best friend, my soulmate, and the love of my life. Will you marry me?"

Marie couldn't speak, she just nodded her head frantically. Fulton slipped the ring onto her finger and stood up, pulling her into his arms. They kissed passionately as their friends cheered and clapped.

After the proposal, they continued to skate and play hockey. Fulton couldn't stop staring at the ring on Marie's finger, feeling like the luckiest man in the world.

As they walked back to their apartment hand in hand, Fulton turned to Marie and said, "I don't think I've ever been this happy in my life. I can't wait to spend forever with you."

Marie smiled up at him, feeling overwhelmed with love and joy. "I love you so much, Fulton. You're everything to me."

They crawled into bed together, snuggling close and talking about their future together. Fulton couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness, thinking about all the time they had wasted before realizing they were meant to be together.

"I wish we could have started planning our future sooner," he said. "I don't want to waste another minute without you."

Marie squeezed his hand. "Don't think about the past, Fulton. We have our whole lives ahead of us. And I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else but you."

Fulton smiled, feeling his heart swell with love for her. "I'm so lucky to have you, Marie. I promise to make every day with you count."

They fell asleep in each other's arms, feeling grateful for the love they had found and the future they were about to embark on together.
