As the team gathered at Guy's house, the banter and teasing began. You couldn't help but feel like everyone was ganging up on you, even your boyfriend Dwayne. "See, this is why I don't socialize," you joked, trying to shrug it off. But Dwayne leaned in and kissed you, making your heart skip a beat.

"Hmm, maybe I can convince you to socialize more often," he whispered, his southern drawl sending shivers down your spine.

You playfully pushed him away, "Oh, so now you're on their side?"

Everyone laughed and continued hanging out, enjoying each other's company. You were grateful to have such an amazing group of friends who were also your teammates. It was like a big family, with Charlie as the protective older brother, and Guy and Connie as the adorable couple who were always holding hands.

As the night wore on, the conversation turned to hockey, and you all shared stories and strategies. It was clear that you all had a deep passion for the sport and for each other. It was moments like these that made you feel like you were exactly where you were meant to be.

And as you looked around the room at your friends, your teammates, your family, you knew that you would always have a place to belong. You may not always socialize, but when you did, it was with the best group of people you could ever ask for.
