You and Les Averman had been dating for a few months now, and every day you felt more and more grateful to have him in your life. He was not only a great hockey player, but he was also funny, loving, and always knew how to make you smile.

After a long day of practice, you both decided to take a walk around the park. As you walked hand in hand, you talked about everything and nothing at the same time. You loved the way Les made you feel comfortable and at ease, as if you had known each other your whole lives.

Suddenly, Les stopped in his tracks and looked at you with a mischievous grin. "Hey, Jules, do you know what's funny?" he asked, trying to contain his laughter.

You rolled your eyes playfully, knowing that whatever he was about to say was going to be a joke. "What's funny, Les?" you asked, already anticipating his punchline.

"The fact that we're both hockey players, but we fell in love off the ice," he said, bursting into laughter.

You couldn't help but laugh along with him, feeling grateful for his sense of humor and lightheartedness. "Yeah, I guess it is pretty funny," you replied, still giggling.

As you both continued walking, Les pulled you close to him and kissed you gently on the forehead. "But in all seriousness, Jules, I'm so glad we met. You make me a better person, and I can't imagine my life without you," he said, looking deeply into your eyes.

Your heart swelled with emotion as you looked back at him, feeling grateful for the love and support he brought into your life. "I feel the same way, Les," you said, feeling tears well up in your eyes.

Les wiped away your tears and pulled you in for a tight embrace. "Love me like you do, Jules. With all your heart," he whispered in your ear, making your heart skip a beat.

You looked up at him and smiled, feeling grateful for the love and joy he brought into your life. You knew that with Les by your side, you could conquer anything, on and off the ice.
