You and Adam Banks have been inseparable since the first time you met at the rink when you were just five years old. You both started playing hockey together and quickly became the best of friends. You both had a love for the game, but also a love for each other.

Growing up, you spent countless hours practicing together, playing together, and even going to school together. You would talk about everything under the sun, from your dreams and aspirations to your deepest fears and worries. You knew everything about each other, and there was never a dull moment when you were together.

As you got older, you both started to realize that your feelings for each other weren't just those of best friends. You both had a crush on each other, but were too scared to say anything. You didn't want to risk ruining the amazing friendship you had built over the years.

One day, while you were both sitting in his bedroom after a long day of hockey practice, Adam turned to you and said, "I need to tell you something. I've had a crush on Amber for as long as I can remember."

You were taken aback, but tried to hide your disappointment. "Oh, I had no idea," you replied, trying to keep your voice steady.

Adam looked at you, sensing that something was wrong. "What's wrong? You seem upset."

You hesitated for a moment before finally speaking up. "I don't know, I guess I just always thought that maybe... well, never mind."

"No, tell me," Adam urged.

"I don't know, I guess I just always thought that maybe we could be more than friends," you said, feeling your cheeks flush with embarrassment.

Adam's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? I had no idea. I mean, I've always loved spending time with you, but I didn't know you felt that way."

You both sat in silence for a moment, unsure of what to say next. Finally, Adam broke the silence. "Look, I know this might be awkward, but can we talk about this more? I don't want to ruin our friendship, but I also don't want to keep these feelings bottled up."

You nodded, relieved. "Yes, let's talk about it. I don't want to lose you as my best friend, but I also don't want to wonder 'what if' for the rest of my life."

From that moment on, your relationship changed. You started talking more openly about your feelings, both for each other and for other people. You both went on to date other people, but always kept a special place in your heart for each other.

Years later, after college, you both found yourselves back in your hometown, still playing hockey together and still best friends. One day, while you were both out for a walk, Adam turned to you and said, "I know this might sound crazy, but I still have feelings for you. I know we tried dating other people, but I just can't shake the feeling that we're meant to be together."

You looked at him, tears welling up in your eyes. "I've always felt the same way," you replied.

From that moment on, you both knew that you were meant to be together. You started dating, going on dates to the local ice cream shop or just sitting in the park talking for hours on end. You were still teammates on the ice, but now your bond was even stronger.

One day, while you were both practicing on the ice, Adam skated over to you and whispered, "I love you."

You looked up at him, a huge smile spreading across your face. "I love you too," you replied.

After that moment, you knew that you would be together forever. You continued to play hockey together and support each other in all aspects of life. Now, years later, you're both still playing hockey together in a local adult league and still madly in love. You can't imagine your life without each other, and you're grateful for the bond that was formed on the ice all those years ago.
