Falling for ya (A. Banks)

You and Adam have been the best of friends for as long as you can remember. The two of you have always been inseparable, and it's no secret that you make a great team on the hockey rink. But lately, something has been different. You've started to realize that your feelings for Adam are more than just friendly. You try to push them away, but they keep creeping back up.

One day, after practice, you head to the locker room to shower. You change quickly and start to leave when you see Adam getting dressed. You go to say goodbye, but he grabs your arm. You look at him, confused and a little shocked. He puts his hand on your cheek and looks into your eyes. "Can I?" he asks softly.

You nod, and he leans in to kiss you. It's soft and gentle, and you feel your heart skip a beat. When you pull away, he asks if you'll be his girlfriend. You say yes, and he wraps his arms around your waist. You arch your back slightly, and he leans in closer, resting his head on your shoulder.

You hear the door open, and you both turn to see Dean Portman standing there, looking shocked. "Whoa, sorry guys. I didn't know anyone was in here," he says, holding up his hands.

You quickly step away from Adam, feeling a little embarrassed. "It's okay, Dean," you say, trying to sound nonchalant.

But Adam looks a little annoyed. "Can you keep this to yourself?" he asks, his tone a little harsher than usual.

Dean nods. "Yeah, of course," he says, looking a little hurt.

As soon as he's out of the room, you know that he's going to tell everyone. You look at Adam, feeling a little nervous. "Do you think this was a mistake?" you ask.

Adam shakes his head. "No way. I've been wanting to do that for so long," he says, grinning at you.

You smile back, feeling a little relieved. "Me too," you say softly.

As the days go by, you and Adam grow even closer. You spend every moment you can together, and your feelings for him only get stronger. You know that falling for your best friend can be risky, but with Adam, it just feels right. You feel like you've fallen too far, but you wouldn't have it any other way.

One day, you're lying in bed with Adam, your head on his chest. You can hear his heart beating steadily, and it makes you feel so happy and content. "I can't believe we're together," you say, looking up at him.

Adam smiles down at you. "Me neither. It's like a dream come true," he says, brushing a strand of hair out of your face.

You snuggle closer to him, feeling so grateful to have him in your life. "I never thought I'd fall for my best friend," you say, feeling a little shy.

Adam chuckles. "Yeah, me neither. But I'm so glad we did. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," he says, kissing your forehead.

You feel tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. "I love you so much," you say, your voice barely above a whisper.

Adam pulls you into a tight embrace. "I love you too, more than anything in the world," he says, holding you close.

As you lay there, wrapped up in each other's arms, you know that you've fallen too far. But you wouldn't have it any other way. With Adam by your side, you feel like you can take on anything.
