Mighty ducks imagine/ preference

4th of July (F. Reed)

I'm April Averman, and I play hockey for the Ducks with my brother, Lester Averman, and my boyfriend, Fulton Reed. It's the Fourth of July, and I'm getting ready at Fulton's house. I slip into my favorite ripped jean shorts, a red shirt, and white Converse sneakers. I top it off with my Team USA jacket, my hair curled, and my makeup done to perfection.

Fulton looks as handsome as ever in his blue sweatpants and tank top American flag shirt, with his Team USA jacket and white tennis shoes. I can't help but admire him as we head out to the park to watch fireworks with the rest of the hockey team.

As we arrive at the park, I snuggle up to Fulton on the blanket we brought with us. I look up at him, and his eyes meet mine. "I'm so happy we get to spend today together," I say, smiling.

"Me too, April," he replies, taking my hand in his. "This is going to be a great day."

We watch the fireworks light up the sky, and Fulton wraps his arms around me. "You look so beautiful tonight," he says, kissing me gently on the forehead.

I can feel my cheeks turning red as I respond, "You look pretty great yourself, Fulton Reed." We share a smile, and I know that this is where I belong - here, with him, surrounded by the people we love.

As the night goes on, we chat with our friends and munch on snacks. At some point, I must've fallen asleep on Fulton's chest, because the next thing I know, it's morning, and we're in his bed. I look over at him, and he's still sleeping peacefully beside me.

I lean in to give him a gentle kiss, and he stirs. "Good morning, beautiful," he says, smiling.

"Good morning to you too," I reply, snuggling closer to him. "Last night was amazing, Fulton."

"It was," he agrees, running his fingers through my hair. "But nothing compares to waking up next to you."

I can feel my heart swelling with love as he says this, and I know that I never want to be without him. We spend a few more moments in bed, just enjoying each other's company, before getting up to start our day.

As we get dressed for hockey practice, Fulton leans in to kiss me again, and I know that this is just the beginning of the many wonderful days we'll share together.
