As you and Charlie Conway practiced on the ice, he couldn't help but notice how effortlessly you glided across the rink. He skated over to you, taking off his helmet and running a hand through his hair.

"Hey, Y/N," he said, smiling at you. "You're looking pretty amazing out there. Almost as good as Adam."

You laughed, shaking your head. "Thanks, Charlie. But we both know I'm not even close to Adam's level."

Charlie chuckled, skating closer to you. "Maybe not on the ice, but you definitely hold your own off the rink."

You felt your cheeks heat up at his words, the way his blue eyes seemed to sparkle as he gazed at you. "What do you mean?"

"I mean you're smart, kind, and beautiful," he said, his voice low and husky. "And I've been wanting to tell you something for a while now."

"What is it?" you asked, your heart racing in your chest.

"I want to hold you down," he said, his eyes locking onto yours. "I want to be there for you, through thick and thin. I want to support you, protect you, and love you with everything I have."

Tears pricked at your eyes as you looked at him, feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of his words. "Charlie, I-"

He didn't let you finish, skating closer to you and cupping your face in his hands. "No need to say anything, Y/N. Just know that I'm here for you, always. And I'll never let you go."

He leaned in, pressing his lips to yours in a gentle, loving kiss. You melted into his embrace, wrapping your arms around his neck and deepening the kiss. It was everything you'd ever wanted, and more.

As you pulled away, breathless and dizzy, Charlie smiled at you. "So, what do you say? Will you let me hold you down?"

You nodded, feeling a sense of peace and happiness wash over you. "Yes, Charlie. I'll let you hold me down."
