Take my breath away (L. Averman)

You're at the rink watching your brother Fulton and the rest of the Ducks practice when you see him for the first time. Les Averman. He's tall, with shaggy blonde hair and a cheeky grin on his face as he chats with his teammates. You're immediately drawn to him, and you can't help but smile as you watch him goof around on the ice.

A few weeks later, you're at a team dinner with Fulton when you finally get to meet Les. He's just as charming and funny as you thought he'd be, and you find yourself laughing at all his jokes. As the night goes on, you two end up sitting next to each other, and you're practically leaning into him as you talk.

"So, what do you do when you're not out on the ice?" you ask him, taking a sip of your drink.

"Me? Not much, really. Just hang out with the guys, play some video games, watch movies," he replies, grinning at you. "What about you? What do you do for fun?"

"Oh, you know, the usual. Hang out with my friends, read, watch movies," you say, feeling yourself blush a little.

Les leans closer to you, his hand brushing against yours. "You know what I think would be fun?" he murmurs, his breath warm against your ear. "Going out with me."

You can feel your heart racing as you look up at him, your eyes meeting his. "I'd like that," you say, feeling a smile spread across your face.

And just like that, you and Les are dating. He's sweet and funny and kind, and you find yourself falling for him more and more every day. He takes you on cute dates, like picnics in the park and ice cream runs, and you spend hours talking and laughing together. He's also incredibly supportive of your dreams and goals, always encouraging you to go after what you want.

One night, as you're walking hand in hand under the starry sky, Les suddenly stops and turns to face you. "You know, I've been thinking," he says, taking a deep breath. "I don't want to spend another day without you by my side. Will you be my girlfriend?"

You can feel your heart skipping a beat as you look up at him, a huge smile spreading across your face. "Yes, of course," you say, throwing your arms around his neck.

And as he pulls you close, you can feel your breath catching in your throat. Les Averman has truly taken your breath away, and you know that he's the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
