A/n: sorry if it took long but I was on a trip in Amsterdam and didn't have much time to writeIt was supposed to be a simple mission, nothing particularly difficult, but Robin was evidently worried "stand close Y/n" he said, holding my hand, he'd become a tiny bit more paranoid since we started war against Wallhart, truth to be told everyone has considering we thought peace was gonna last more than two years but I think Robin and I both are exemplary cases considering we had something to lose in this war.
After the end of the war he proposed to me and the short lived peace time was the happiest of our life, which the lobster bastard and that purple haired freak he has for a friend (bitch, if you gotta dye your hair at least do it well, you're a shame for all the purple hair comunity) just had to ruin. The only luck was that at that point in time we hadn't tried for a baby so we didn't have the babysitter factor to worry about just yet, or so I thought.
I scanned the battlefield to look for other risen or enemy soldiers but I found something much weirder "wait, there's someone injured" I told him, someone was laying on the ground just a few steps away, and I had a strange feeling about it, Robin must have been feeling the same considering he didn't tell me his usual 'that could be a trap'.
The closer we stepped to this figure the less it looked like a trap, there were no enemies or possible hideouts around, just a small figure face down in the grass, almost in the exact same way we found Robin. I had no time to think about their suspicious similarities considering the figure, who was clearly a teenage girl, rolled on her back and looked straight at us mumbling "mom? dad?" That knocked the air out of my lungs, in a normal circumstance I would have assumed she was simply disoriented but the recent thing with future Lucina, the fact she was so secure about what she said and the odd feeling I had been having since the moment I laid eyes on her. Robin and I helped her up, and that's how we found our future daughter, much like I found my husband, fallen from the fucking sky.
Having a daughter as old as us was odd but good, like you never need a babysitter because she can pretty much tag along with all of us, today was one of these days, It happened once in a blue moon but I finished my training early and Robin had a day off, there was a beautiful glade nearby and it was summer so we decided to go for a walk, maybe grab some healing herbs, Morgan had evidently inherited my love for walking in nature so we thought inviting her would be a good way to help her relax before the big mission and spend some quality time as a family.
Morgan darted excitedly from bush to bush, sometimes even climbing on trees, we let her drift off because we knew the woods were free of risen and no other wild beast was even a close match for her, I was very surprised when I saw how strong she was but then again it was understandable, her and Lucina must have gone through hell in the future they come from. Robin and I walked close by, hand in hand, exchanging a kiss every time Morgan was distracted.
"Mo- err y/n!" Morgan called, she hasn't gotten used to call me by my name yet, I'd gladly tell her to call me mom if she wasn't like two to three years younger than me and almost as tall as me, darn Robin and his tall genes! "Look what I found" she said, handing me a branch of (favourite flower) my husband snickered, we have a colourful story revolving around it "where did you find it?" I asked her, looking at the branch with a smile "over there, come and see! there's more " She pulled us along, further from the track and into the woods.
She wasn't lying, just as we thought she might have lost the way a glade opened from between the trees, it was filled to the brim with flowers, and not just any kind, my favourite ones! I knelt down to pick one up when a bee buzzed out of the bunch giving me a jumpscare and sending me crashing back into Robin. He held me close saying "why do I have this feeling of dejavu?"with a smile on his face "is this part of the reason why you act like complete dorks whenever (f/f) are around?" Morgan asked with all the sass of a teen seeing her parents playing lover birds in public and now needs eye bleach "you know these flowers big part of the reason you're here, we probably would have never started dating if it wasn't for that one cringeworthy event" Robin said as he helped me up "guess it's time for how I met your mother"
Approximatively two and a half years before, War against Plegia had just started, Frederick was still wary of Robin and I admit I was a bit too, considering we were always on the move we had no proper training ground, we just chose an area large enough to train and with enough trees to hang archery targets, on this particular trip at the end of the archery range was a beautiful bush of (f/f), I had been training alone al afternoon until sunset, I was feeling particularly tired, from a look around I saw Robin and I were the only ones left training so I decided to cit through the archery range, I was so tired I didn't even notice Vyrion was there, he was just training at a longer distance, and he'd already shot his arrow, the target was about at shoulder height and the arrow would have easily hit my chest, and incapacitated me for quite a while, "y/n, watch out!" I felt a sudden push and found myself unharmed, laying inside the bush, Robin had just pushed me away from the arrow's trajectory and landed on top of me, for a hot second we just stood there, in the dim light of an ylesian sunset inside a bush of (f/f), that moment took the previous opinion I had of him and turned it upside down, we stood there unmoving until Vyrion himself reached us and asked "is anyone injured or do you just need to get a room?", but we kinda kept that part from Morgan.
"Since then every time one of us saved the other the other had to give them a (f/f), it's easy considering they're pretty common, it kinda became an inside joke" Robin added, Morgan looked less cringed and more amazed "is it still going?" We both nodded "well, if you're curious on how it works you're in luck" Robin said grabbing a flower and placing it behind my ear "here, I haven't found any after last battle".
It was soon time to get back at camp but we decided to go on trips like this one more often, enjoying every second of those days, Morgan eventually had to go back to her future world but we knew this was no real goodbye, she was our baby after all.
