By me.
The sun was setting on the beach, casting a warm glow over the camp. Annabeth was stretched out under her umbrella, her book forgotten as she glanced around at her friends. Percy was wading in the shallows, while Piper and Hazel lounged nearby, chatting.
"Hey, Piper," Annabeth began, trying to sound casual despite her curiosity. "Where did you get that shirt?"
Piper looked down at the blue shirt she was wearing, the faded Camp Half-Blood logo barely visible. "Oh, this old thing? It’s Percy’s. I borrowed it a while ago and it’s just so comfy."
Annabeth turned her gaze to Hazel, who was wearing another familiar shirt—gray with a subtle wave pattern. "And Hazel, is that…?"
Hazel’s cheeks flushed slightly. "Yeah, it’s Percy's too. I borrowed it for a cool night, and it's like wearing a hug."
Annabeth’s eyes widened in realization. “Wait a minute. You two have been wearing Percy’s shirts?”
Before she could say anything more, Percy emerged from the water, dripping wet and looking remarkably pleased with himself. He caught sight of Piper and Hazel, his eyes lighting up with recognition.
“Hey, those are my shirts!” Percy called out, a teasing grin spreading across his face.
Hazel froze, but Piper just smiled mischievouly. “Caught us,” Piper said with a playful shrug. “They’re really comfy.”
“Comfy, huh?” Percy walked over, the water glistening on his tanned skin. “Well, you know what they say about sea stuff—it’s best enjoyed with a touch of ocean charm.”
Hazel tilted her head, curious. “Oh? And what’s that?”
Percy leaned in closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Well, I must say, those shirts look absolutely magnificent on you. If I were a wave, I’d be crashing just to get close to you.”
Piper laughed, clearly enjoying the flirtation. “And if you were a sailor, what would you say?”
“I’d say,” Percy replied, his voice dropping to a more flirtatious tone, “that you two are the best catch I’ve had all year. I’m pretty sure the sea’s got nothing on how radiant you look in those.”
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by the exchange. “Looks like you’re not upset about the missing shirts.”
Percy winked at Annabeth. “Not at all. If it takes a little shirt theft to get to see you all looking this good, I’m all for it.”
Piper giggled, clearly enjoying the attention. “Well, we can’t keep all your shirts forever,” Piper said. “Maybe we’ll return them someday.”
“Or,” Percy countered with a sly grin, “you could keep them. I think they look even better on you than they do on me. And believe me, that’s saying something.”
Hazel couldn’t help but laugh at Percy’s charm. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Guilty as charged,” Percy said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. “But seriously, if you need to borrow any shirts yourself, I’m sure I could arrange that. Though I’d be pretty jealous of whoever gets to see you in them.”
The group laughed together, the warm sunset providing a perfect backdrop for their lighthearted teasing. Annabeth looked around at her friends, smiling at the easy camaraderie they shared.
Percy might not have gotten his shirts back just yet, but seeing Piper and Hazel looking happy was worth more than any wardrobe.
