_______________________Percy Jackson stood in the middle of the common room, hands on his hips, trying to look as innocent as possible. The sun was setting over Camp Half-Blood, casting warm golden light across the room, but the atmosphere was far from serene.
His friends were surrounding him, a mix of amusement and exasperation plastered across their faces. He just wanted to go to the gaming store near Camp Half-Blood.
"Oh, come on!" Percy exclaimed, rolling his eyes. "When have I ever done anything rash or irresponsible?"
Annabeth Chase crossed her arms, a sickly sweet smile playing on her lips. "I have a list. It’s alphabetized."
Percy’s eyes widened in mock horror. "You wouldn’t."
"Wouldn't I?" Annabeth teased, reaching into her backpack and pulling out a neatly folded piece of paper. She waved it like a trophy. "You want me to read it?"
Before he could protest, Jason Grace chimed in. "Mine’s color-coded!" He lifted his own piece of paper, covered in bright highlighters. "See? Green for when you almost blew up the forge, red for when you fought a monster without backup, and yellow for that time you tried to ride a hippocampus without any training."
Percy groaned. "Come on, guys! That was just a misunderstanding!"
Frank Zhang, leaning against the wall with a knowing smile, added, "Mine is organized by severity." He held up his own list, which looked suspiciously longer than the others. "And I added a star rating for the most ridiculous ones."
Percy threw his hands up in defeat. "Okay, okay! I get it!"
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying this too much. "You’re a walking disaster sometimes, Seaweed Brain."
Jason flipped through his list, chuckling. "Like that time you jumped into the Styx for a pair of sandals?"
Percy waved that off, his face growing warm at the memory. "Those were designer! Besides, who wouldn’t do that for style?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes. "You nearly drowned, Percy!"
Frank chimed in, “And who could forget the time you tried to impress Annabeth by jumping off the cliffs at Circe’s Island?”
Percy scratched the back of his head, a sheepish grin creeping onto his face. “Okay, maybe that was a little reckless… but she was impressed, right?”
Annabeth laughed, shaking her head. “Not as impressed as I was when you saved me from being turned into a pig!”
“See? That was responsible!” Percy insisted, feeling a little defensive but loving the banter.
Jason laughed. “Responsible is not the word I’d use to describe that situation. And remember the Titan war? You charged in headfirst and nearly got yourself killed!”
Percy shot him a glare. “That was a tactical decision!”
“More like a rash one,” Annabeth countered, grinning. “But we love you for it.”
“Yeah, man,” Frank said, a playful glint in his eyes. “We’d be bored without your ‘brilliant ideas.’”
As they continued to tease Percy about his many rash adventures, the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving the room bathed in twilight, a reminder that the best stories were the ones they shared together.
