(A/N) By me. Also, my title is a main line from a famous song. I'll accept a prompt from the first one to tell me which song it is along with the singer.
It was a lazy afternoon at Camp Half-Blood, the sun shining brightly overhead as Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, and Hazel sat around one of the long wooden tables in the mess hall.
The conversation had started innocently enough—about school, their recent quests, and what they might do in the future—but, as usual, it drifted toward something completely unexpected.
"So, how long until you two finally admit that you're dating?" Hazel teased, nudging Annabeth with her elbow.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, a small blush creeping up her neck. "We've been dating for ages now, Hazel. It's not like it's a secret."
Piper smirked. "Yeah, but we still get to tease you about it."
Percy snorted, taking a sip from his cup. "Yeah, well, you all are just jealous. Who wouldn't want to be in a relationship with me?"
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, amused. "Oh, I'm sure they're just dying to be in a relationship with the guy who once mistook a giant's toenail for a pizza."
Percy grinned, unfazed. "Hey, it was an honest mistake."
The group laughed, and the teasing died down for a moment, but not before Jason had a brilliant idea.
"So, you two ever talk about... you know, kids?" Jason asked, a wicked gleam in his eye.
Piper immediately gasped, and Hazel practically choked on her drink. Annabeth froze, eyes wide. Percy, on the other hand, had a puzzled look on his face.
"Wait, what? Kids?" Percy repeated, confused.
Annabeth's blush deepened as she quickly recovered, crossing her arms over her chest. "Well, I mean, yeah, we've talked about it. Eventually."
Jason smirked, clearly enjoying the discomfort he'd just caused. "Oh, I bet you guys would have the most adorable kids. Imagine little half-bloods running around. I can already see it. Baby Percys—"
"Shut up, Jason," Annabeth warned, though there was a hint of humor in her voice.
"Yeah, baby Percy would be great," Frank added with a chuckle. "Imagine him with your brains, Annabeth, and Percy's... enthusiasm."
"Hey! I do have brains," Percy protested, clearly offended but trying to hold back a grin.
"Not as much as Annabeth," Piper said innocently, which caused Annabeth to laugh.
"Anyways, I think we can all agree that they'd be great parents," Hazel said with a smile. "But what about names?"
Annabeth blinked, surprised at how the topic was shifting. "Names? Well, I've thought about it a little, actually. I have a whole list."
The group quieted, eager to hear. Annabeth was always the thoughtful one, and they knew she'd put a lot of effort into this.
She took a deep breath. "Okay, so for a boy, I really like names that mean something. Like... Lucian, which means light. Or Theo, which means gift of God. For a girl, I'd want something that represents strength and beauty—like Valeria, meaning strength, or Seraphina, meaning fiery, which I think suits a demigod."
The group nodded, impressed.
"Wow, Annabeth, those are beautiful names," Piper said, her voice soft with admiration. "You really put a lot of thought into this."
Annabeth smiled, pleased. "I want them to have names that mean something special. Something that represents what we value."
Percy sat back, a smirk playing on his lips. "Yeah, well, I've got a list too."
Annabeth turned to him, curious. "Really? What kind of names do you have in mind?"
Percy grinned mischievously. "Well, they're... a little different."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, not sure if she was ready for whatever he was about to say.
Percy cleared his throat dramatically. "Okay, here goes: Percy Jr., obviously. It's a classic."
"Percy Jr.?" Annabeth repeated slowly, trying to wrap her mind around it. "That's... really original."
"Wait, there's more!" Percy continued, enjoying the attention. "Next is Percy Reborn. Sounds epic, right?"
Annabeth groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Percy, please don't—"
"Hold on!" Percy said, holding up a finger. "How about Percy 2.0? Like an upgrade, but still classic Percy."
"You're seriously naming our kid after a software version?" Annabeth asked, her voice flat.
"Okay, okay," Percy said, pretending to think hard. "What about just Perce? Nice and simple. Cool, like a secret agent."
Annabeth narrowed her eyes at him, though she was trying not to laugh. "Secret agent? Really?"
Percy was on a roll. "And then there's Mr. Perce, for when he's all grown up and formal."
"Percy, stop!" Annabeth groaned, burying her face in her hands.
"And last but not least," Percy added with a flourish, "Percy II. Because, you know, he'd be the second."
There was a long pause, the group staring at Percy in stunned silence. Annabeth was trying her best to keep her expression serious, but it wasn't working.
Finally, she broke into laughter, shaking her head. "You are impossible, Percy."
"Hey, I was just trying to make sure he has a name as cool as mine!" Percy defended, grinning widely.
The others burst out laughing, the teasing too much to resist.
"Well, if those are the names you're suggesting," Jason said, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes, "I think Annabeth's list wins by a landslide."
Annabeth smiled, feeling a warm sense of relief. "I'm just glad I'll have full control over the naming process."
Percy grinned at her. "Yeah, yeah. I'll just make sure our kid's middle name is Perce."
Annabeth groaned, but deep down, she couldn't help but love the ridiculousness of Percy and the way he always managed to bring a smile to her face—even when he was being a total goofball.
"Alright, Percy Sr.," Annabeth said sarcastically, "let's just stick with Theo for now."
"Fine, but you're going to regret not going with Percy 2.0," Percy said, still smiling.
Annabeth just shook her head, already knowing that, no matter what, their future would be filled with love, laughter, and... very questionable names.
