By me. Based on an incorrect quote I read.
"Percy?"
"Yeah"
"What's an eight-letter word for perfect in skill, character and beauty?"
Percy counted on his fingers before replying,
"Persassy."
-------------Sorry! Just a joke----------
A/N Here is the real One-shot.Annabeth Chase sat cross-legged on the sofa, her brow furrowed in concentration as she stared at the crossword puzzle spread out before her. The dim light from the table lamp cast a warm glow over her determined face. Percy Jackson, meanwhile, was sprawled comfortably on the other end of the sofa, flipping through a comic book with a lazy grin on his face.
"Hey, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said without looking up, "I'm stuck on this one. What's the eight-letter word for perfect in skill, character, and beauty?"
Percy paused, a thoughtful expression crossing his features. He set aside his comic book and leaned closer, pretending to ponder deeply. His fingers moved in a mock counting gesture as he hummed for dramatic effect.
"Well," Percy began with exaggerated seriousness, "the word you're looking for is 'Annabeth.'"
Annabeth’s pen hovered above the crossword puzzle, her lips twitching into a smile despite herself. She finally looked up, catching Percy's mischievous sea- green eyes.
"Really, Percy?" she asked, her tone both touched and exasperated.
Percy shrugged, his grin widening. "It’s true. I mean, you’re amazing at everything, you’re smart, and you’re definitely beautiful."
Annabeth tried to suppress her smile but failed. "And here I was thinking you were just a terrible influence on me."
"Ah, so you admit it!" Percy teased. "I must be doing something right then."
She shook her head, laughing softly. "You’re impossible, you know that?"
Percy nudged her playfully with his elbow. "Yeah, but you love me anyway."
Annabeth rolled her eyes, but the affection in her gaze was unmistakable. "I suppose I do. But don’t let it go to your head."
Percy leaned back, stretching his arms above his head. "Too late. I’ve already got a big head thanks to you."
Annabeth shook her head again, a fond smile playing on her lips as she resumed working on her crossword. Percy watched her for a moment, his expression softening. It wasn’t often that he could just enjoy these quiet, easy moments with her, and he cherished them.
"By the way," Annabeth said, breaking the silence, "if you’re so confident about these things, how about helping me with the rest of the puzzle?"
Percy smirked. "Sure thing. What’s next?"
Annabeth handed him the crossword, her eyes twinkling. "Let’s see if you can live up to your own hype."
As Percy took the puzzle, he nudged Annabeth again, leaning in close. "Challenge accepted."
The room filled with their laughter and easy conversation, a perfect testament to the fact that sometimes, the best things in life are the simple moments shared with someone you care about.
