By me.

Percy strode into the living room with a determined look on his face, Annabeth trailing behind him with an amused smile.

The rest of the gang—Nico, Jason, Piper, and Hazel—were lounging around, enjoying a rare quiet moment at Camp Half-Blood.

Nico was about to take a sip of his drink when Percy suddenly shouted, "Annabeth and I are having a baby!"

Nico choked on his drink, sputtering in shock. The room fell into dead silence as all eyes turned toward Percy and Annabeth.

Jason's jaw dropped. "Dude, what?"

Piper raised an eyebrow. "I thought you two were going to wait until after the war stuff calmed down."

Hazel's eyes lit up, a huge grin spreading across her face. "That's amazing! Congrats!"

Nico, meanwhile, was frozen in place. "Uh, congrats, I guess?"

Percy grinned like a maniac, clearly building up to something. "Yeah, yeah, it’s pretty awesome, right? I mean, we’ve thought long and hard about it—"

Nico's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, still trying to process everything. "Wait… you guys are really having a kid? Like, right now?"

"Yeah!" Percy said with excitement. Then, before anyone could say another word, he slammed a stack of papers down on the coffee table in front of Nico. "And it's you. We're adopting you."

Nico blinked. "Wait, what?"

Annabeth stifled a laugh from behind Percy. "It's true. We’ve made all the preparations."

Percy, without missing a beat, pushed a pen into Nico’s hand. "Here, sign these adoption papers. Right now. You’re moving in with us. We’ll make sure you’re fed, watered, and properly socialized. Oh, and you have a curfew."

Nico stared at the papers, then up at Percy. "You’re kidding, right?"

Percy, with the most serious expression in the world, said, "Absolutely not. I can’t let you go wandering around the Underworld all the time. You’re living with us now. We’re going to raise you right."

Annabeth leaned in, unable to hide her grin any longer. "I’ve already got your room planned out. It’s going to have a bed, a lamp that isn’t creepy, and maybe some actual sunlight. You know, normal human things."

Nico looked at Annabeth, horrified. "Sunlight?"

Percy nodded, arms crossed over his chest like a proud father. "Yup. And breakfast at 8 AM every morning. Annabeth makes this amazing oatmeal, you’ll love it. And no more hanging out in graveyards at 3 AM. That's family bonding time."

Jason had been holding back his laughter this entire time, but now he couldn’t stop. "Oh gods, Percy, are you sure you’re ready for this responsibility?"

Percy shot him a look. "Jason, we all know Nico’s basically been feral. Someone has to step up and be a parent here."

Nico glared at Percy, but the blush creeping up his cheeks betrayed him. "I am not feral."

Annabeth chuckled softly, patting Nico’s shoulder. "Don't worry, we’ll ease you into it. We’ll start with dinner together. Maybe some family movie nights."

Nico looked between the two of them, completely bewildered. "I’m not actually signing these papers, you know that, right?"

Percy waved his hand dismissively. "That’s just a formality. We’re a family now. You don’t need to sign anything for that."

Nico stared at the adoption papers again, and despite himself, a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. He let out a sigh, shaking his head in defeat.

"Fine. But if I have to sit through one family movie night, we’re watching something I pick."

Piper grinned. "Oh, this is going to be hilarious. Nico as the baby of the family? I give it two weeks before he runs back to the Underworld."

Nico shot her a glare. "Don’t tempt me."

Percy clapped him on the back, grinning wider than ever. "Don’t worry, kid. You'll get used to the whole 'living with parents' thing. Now, let’s go pick out some curtains for your room. I was thinking maybe skulls, but Annabeth disagrees."

Nico groaned, but the smile never left his face. "I hate all of you."

"Love you too, buddy," Percy said, slinging an arm around Nico’s shoulders. "Welcome to the family."
