When Kai returned to the place he was meant to meet up with Auntie Feifei there was no one waiting for him.

"Where did they go?" Kai wondered as he looked around the area. Not finding them Kai first checked the bookstore thinking maybe Minda wanted to have a look.

"He isn't here."

When he still couldn't find the carriage Kai began to worry.

"Minda would never leave without me. Unless something happened to him and his servants decided it was necessary." Kai considered the options and remembered how pale and weak Minda seemed when he left.

"His lips were pale but felt warmer than usual when I kissed them."

Thinking maybe is health worsened while he was away Kai went into the bookstore to ask the clerk about where the doctor's clinic was located.

Ring*

"Welcome. How may I help you?" The shopkeeper asked when he entered. He spoke politely because he remembered seeing Kai with Minda only a week prior.

"Sorry to bother you but I seem to be a little lost. I was supposed to meet up with someone at Doctor Wu's Clinic but I can't seem to recall where it is located." Kai said.

"Doctor Wu's office is located near the South entrance of Town. If you walk down this road for roughly ten minutes you'll come across a restaurant called the Pheasant's Burrow. Turn right down the next street and walk another five minutes. From there turn South at the Crane Inn and you should be able to find the clinic." The shopkeeper explained.

"Thank you." Kai said before hurrying out the door. He walked quickly down the streets. If Minda was brought to the clinic as he feared he hated to think how bad Minda's situation had become in the short time they were apart.

...

"That's his carriage." Kai nearly shouted when he approached his destination. His light jog turned to an outright run. Outside the clinic he found Ran patiently waiting by the carriage.

"What happened?"

"Sir Kai, the Young Master was feeling unwell and my wife believed it would be prudent to bring him to the doctor as soon as possible. We intended to go back once we were done here to pick you up." Ran explained.

"What did the doctor say?" Kai asked.

"I do not know. The doctor is currently examining him now."

Kai didn't want to wait together with Ran and headed inside in search of Minda. The clinic was busy and full of customers with coughs, runny noses, and bloody injuries.

"Minda's health isn't great. Being here will make him sicker." Kai rebuked as he headed directly for the private room in the back of the clinic.

He wasn't happy about Feifei bringing Minda to the cesspool called a clinic but he could understand why she did It. Without even knocking he opened the door and walked into the room.

"Kai! How did you find us?" Minda excitedly asked when he saw him barge into the room.

"Wherever you are, I will find you." Kai said with absolute confidence as he rushed over to his side. Minda smiled bright. He loved the thought that no matter what happened or how far apart they were Kai would always find him.

"Doctor Wu, I'm sorry for barging in but how is Minda's condition?" Kai asked the old doctor who had been patiently waiting to continue his examination.

"Young Master Chen is running a fever. Most likely a combination of stress, poor sleep, and over exertion." Doctor Wu said. Auntie Feifei couldn't hide her inner thoughts as she glared at Kai. He also knew Minda's poor health was most likely caused by him.
