Chapter 48: Bedroom

Auntie Feifei noticed Kai running around the estate. It had become a very common occurrence in recent days. Whenever she saw him run she would prepare a special tea for Minda. She was told it was prescribed by the doctor for to help against the summer heat but knew there real reason for it.

Knock... knock*

"Come in." Minda said from the bed.

"Young Master, I've brought the medicinal tea. Would you like me to use your new tea set to steep and serve it?" She asked carrying a kettle of hot water and the container of medicinal tea leaves.

"Please do, and tell Kai to come back inside for a quick sip." Minda said.

He knew Kai would be running several long laps around the estate but if he asked, Kai would usually slip in to drink the tea before leaving again. He would do this knowing the tea was meant to cool a man's desires. It was something they both asked the doctor to prepare when it became more and more difficult for them to control their urges and calm themselves.

Auntie Feifei added the medicinal tea and filled the new teapot with hot water. The smell of licorice and several other herbs filled the room. It was a scent Minda had become accustomed to after weeks of drinking it almost daily. Once done she went into the garden to inform Kai the tea was ready.

Minda who remained in the bedroom moved to his wheelchair and went over to the table to sip his tea. He reached out to grab the red panda cup but then remembered what Kai had done earlier. Tempted, Minda grabbed Kai's tiger cup instead and quickly gave it a kiss.

"Did something good happen?" Kai asked. When he walked into the room he caught Minda holding his tiger cup while giggling softly. His rosy cheeks and smile seemed childish and sweet.

"Kai! When did you get back?" Minda asked in a small panic. He couldn't believe Kai had caught him kissing the tiger teacup just like how Kai had kissed his red panda.

"Not long. Is the tea ready?" Kai asked a little breathless from running.

"It should be."

Minda quickly lowered the tiger teacup and reached for the teapot. Kai walked over and gulped hard when he saw Minda's exposed lower neck. He had secretly left a dark kiss mark that should have been covered by his clothes. Seeing it excited him.

Minda didn't notice his stare as he poured the medicinal tea into both cups before handing Kai his tiger cup. Kai took a little sip but looked dissatisfied with it.

"Does it taste bad?" Minda asked. He couldn't deny the flavour wasn't his favourite but as medicinal teas goes it was palatable.

"It's the same as usual." Kai said. Minda tasted his own cup and had to admit it was the same which only confused him more. Then Kai suddenly grabbed his red panda cup and chugged the last of the tea from it.

"What are you doing?" Minda asked.

"I know the tiger is supposed to be mine but I like drinking from yours more."

Kai raised the cup and kissed the image of the red panda again. The sight once again made Minda blush and reminded him of their earlier kiss. He wanted to complain but before he could Kai ran out of the room to continue his run around the estate. Minda laughed a little at his quick escape and enjoyed his tea from Kai's tiger cup.

After Lunch, Minda carefully placed his lotus jade pendant in its case. He never wanted to take it off but he couldn't wear it in the bath. Kai who was standing next to him watched with a soft smile. He was glad Minda liked the gift.
