The next few days passed quietly. Minda's strange behaviour continued. He would stare and watch Kai do things around the house. When Kai asked him if he needed something Minda would turn bright red and avoid eye contact.

At first Kai was worried but soon found it cute and began teasing him a little. Knowing his action caused Minda to blush he would purposefully touch his hair or cheek. When he did Minda would get flustered and turn away. Then as though he regretted his decision he would turn back and close his eyes to enjoy it.

"Kai, do you want to go to town with me?" Minda asked one morning.

Since the storm the roads were muddy and Auntie Feifei thought it would be too dangerous for Minda to leave the estate. The only ones who went down the mountain were Syaoran and his father Ran to sell Kai's deer and check on the farmland and animals. Now after a few days of clear weather the mountain path had time to dry and Minda was eager to go to town with Kai.

Kai was also thinking he should go to town and purchase the crossbow materials as well as a few other items. Ran had kept his word and gotten him a higher price than he expected for his deer and so he had enough to buy several items.

"I will go talk to your servant Feifei to make arrangements." Kai said.

"I'll go with you."

Kai was happy to bring him along but he didn't rush to push his wheelchair. Minda had been trying his best the last few days and could now roll himself when inside the estate with its wooden floors.

Minda moved slow but he managed to roll himself out of the bedroom before running out of energy. Seeing him trying to catch his breath Kai moved to take over.

"You're getting better." Kai praised.

"It's a bit frustrating not being able to move on my own. When the doctor comes next time I want to talk to him about walking." Minda said.

"I'm not a doctor but I believe he will tell you to be patient. Injuries like yours don't heal overnight and pushing yourself too far too fast could have the opposite effect." Kai said. He wasn't a stranger to being bedridden and knew rushing things was never helpful.

Minda knew Kai was right but as he was pushed down the hall he still felt frustrated.

...

After breakfast Syaoran brought over the horse pulled carriage to pick up Minda, Kai, and Auntie Feifei. The town wasn't too far away. It would take roughly an hour by carriage. Along the way Auntie Feifei asked Minda about buying some new clothing.

"Young Master, I asked some acquaintances and found a clothing store with higher quality clothing that are sold at a reasonable price like you requested." She said.

"That's great. Kai, I know you said you don't need it but maybe we could get you some new clothes?" Minda said. Kai wasn't interested in buying more clothes but Minda was so excited he couldn't find the words to say no.

"It would be nice to have another outfit to cut down on laundry." Kai said. With the money he received for the deer he had enough to purchase an outfit along with the materials needed to make his crossbow.

"I was going to buy a knew pair of boots but it can wait until later." Kai mused. His current boots were worn and had a few holes in them but still useable.

"Then it's decided. Auntie Feifei can you make the proper arrangements?"

"I will. May I know where else you wish to go? I'll be able to plan the day more accurately." Auntie Feifei asked. Minda looked over at Kai for the answer.

"I would like to visit a craftsman's shop to purchase a few tools, wood, and order some iron parts to be made by a blacksmith." Kai said.

"If you are looking to buy items from a blacksmith, I would like to suggest someone. He's made all the knives, pots, tools, and even the horseshoes for the estate for nearly twenty years. His shop is located in a village just outside of town." Auntie Feifei suggested.
