Chapter 59: Wedding Pt.2 (NSFW)

With Auntie Feifei's meticulous planning Minda and Kai went through every tradition and ritual to complete their marriage despite the fact his parents and family were dead. General Lei and everyone were more than willing to go along with everything and anything.

"Kai, what are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be waiting in the marital bed for your husband." Yanlin teased when Kai walked over to join everyone for the wedding feast together with Minda.

"Why would Kai wait in there?" Minda asked. Apparently no one had told him about how the bride should stay in the bedroom after going through the wedding ceremony.

"It doesn't matter. My place is here right next to you." Kai said. Minda was still confused but no one gave him time to think. Right away they were invited to sit down and had their cups filled with wine.

Kai stared at the alcohol in Minda's cup. He had never seen Minda drink alcohol and he didn't know what would happen once he did.

It wasn't just Kai who was interested. Everyone was curious to see what would happen to Minda after he drank the plum wine. Minda wasn't as worried though. He took the cup and like taking a shot drank it all in one motion.

"It's sweeter than I expected." Minda commented unaffected by the alcohol. He then held out the cup wanting more. Kai placed his hand over his cup still worried.

"Pace yourself."

Minda looked at Kai but wasn't too worried. He had never drunk alcohol before but he was confident Kai would help him if anything happened.

"I'll be fine." Minda said and held his cup up again. Before Kai could block it Minda's cup was filled and Minda chugged it again. He turned to glare at Yanlin who had filled it. Then while distracted Houtian filled Minda's cup.

"Hey!" Kai said when he saw Minda chugging another one.

Like a game everyone kept sneaking Minda alcohol throughout the feast. After the twentieth shot they stared at Minda.

"Are you okay?" Kai asked with deep concern.

"I'm great." Minda said. His cheeks were flushed but he still spoke in a clear voice. Kai couldn't believe Minda could possibly be fine. He grabbed Minda's recently filled cup and drank it thinking maybe he was drinking tea instead of wine.

Cough*

"What the hell! Has he really been drinking alcohol this entire time!" Kai questioned internally while staring at Minda in shock.

"What?"

"Minda, how are drinking so much?" Kai had to ask.

"What do you mean?" Minda said with an innocent look on his face. Everyone was watching with rapped attention. Like Kai no one could understand how Minda could still be okay.

"Do you not feel dizzy or unwell?"

"I'm a little hot but... no, I'm fine." Minda said. He then grabbed Kai's cup which still had wine in it and drank it without fear or worry.

"Yeah! You go little soulmate!" The men cheered before pouring Minda another, then another, and another cup of wine.

The moon was high in the sky and Kai was left looking up at it in wonder.

"Hiccup* Cap... Captain you... Hiccup* your husband is amazing!" Houtian said as he leaned against Kai unsteadily.

"I know."

"No... Hiccup* I don't mean your lovesick 'I only have Hiccup* eyes for him' amazing. I mean he is absolutely AMAZING! He's defeated everyone except the General and Sir. Hiccup*" Houtian stressed as he barely managed to stand.
