It didn't take long for the servants to unpack all of Minda's things. It was basically just his medical supplies, medication, a few items of clothes, the wheelchair, and the stone Minda kept on his lap.
After everything was unpacked Auntie Feifei moved behind Minda and started pushing him through the gate. At first, Minda was fine. He was even a little excited to be back home.
Unfortunately, the moment they entered the estate Minda was bombarded by the memory of what happened the night of the attack. The smell of rusty blood filled his nose and the screams of the servants could be heard as they were chased down and killed in cold blood.
"Young Master!?" Auntie Feifei asked.
After stepping past the threshold Minda had started to hyperventilate. His body shook uncontrollably. frightened by his intense reaction she leaned over and hugged him.
"It's okay dear. You're safe."
"Dear, it might be best if we call for the doctor." Uncle Ran suggested to his wife.
"You're right. Hey, help us bring the young master back to the hospital." Auntie Feifei told the servants that were preparing to leave again.
"Our apologize but the doctor has prior engagements. Even if Master Chen where to return to the hospital now there would be no one available to care for him. The doctor's apprentice is however scheduled to come visit this evening. He can help you at that time." The servant said with a pompous grin.
Auntie Feifei did not appreciate the servants attitude towards her clearly distressed young master. She rolled up her sleeves wand stepped forward. She was preparing to smack the grin off the servants face.
"What did you say?" She growled.
"Mom, ignore them. Right now we need to focus on helping Young Master Minda." Her son said as he stepped in front of his mother. His words did little to dissuade her. She was still fuming and determined to lecture them about how to properly behave and treat her precious Young Master.
"Dear, Young Master Minda needs your attention." Uncle Ran added from behind. He was currently kneeling by Minda's side attempting to soothe the hyperventilating Minda by rubbing his back as Minda hugged his stone. Auntie Feifei turned around to look at Minda. While she was distracted the carriage drove away leaving the four of them alone.
"Should we bring him inside?" Syaoran asked.
"No. He was fine before we tried to bring him in the yard. Bringing him in now could make things worse." Auntie Feifei said.
"I'll go get the carriage. We can bring him to an inn until we determine what to do next." Uncle Ran suggested.
Auntie Feifei agreed and her husband hurried to get the carriage ready. Every second counted and they couldn't waste time dealing with the inn staff while Minda was in distress so Feifei sent her son Syaoran ahead to find an inn and rent a room.
"It's okay Young Master." She whispered to Minda while gently rubbing his hand. Minda didn't hear anything she said. He was trapped. Like being forced to watch a horror film over and over again on repeat. Until finally things went dark.
...
When Minda woke up again he was in an unfamiliar room. The smell of medicinal herbs filled the room.
"Young Master, you're finally awake. Syaoran, quick go get the doctor." Auntie Feifei ordered the moment she noticed Minda wake up.
"Auntie Feifei, what... what happened?"Minda asked. His head was foggy and he couldn't remember how he ended up in the strange room.
