After falling asleep from his fever Minda was woken up by the sound of Kai moving around the room.

"Kai, what are you doing?" He asked.

"Did I wake you?"

"It's fine." Minda said. He tried to sit up so he could see what Kai was doing but the sudden movement caused a dizzy spell and he fell back down on his pillow. His sudden fall startled the little Xianli who was sleeping next to him.

"Sorry." Minda was whispered as he smoothed out Xianli's ruffled fur. Kai heard the slight commotion and walked over to check what was happening.

"Is everything okay?"

"It's fine."

Minda glanced around and realized as he was petting Xianli that the other leopard was missing.

"Where's Huan?"

"He's here on the floor. It seems he didn't want to continue sleeping and has been following me around the room for awhile." Kai said. He then bent down planning to put him back on the bed thinking Minda wanted him, but he was wrong.

"It's good that he's so active and exploring the house." Minda said. Realizing Minda was fine with the leopard not being in bed with him Kai left it on the floor and walked over to check Minda's fever.

"You still feel hot. Drink some water and go back to sleep." Kai said.

"Before that can you tell me what you were doing?" Minda asked still feeling curious.

"I was putting away the clothes we bought earlier today." Kai explained.

"Why are you doing it? Auntie Feifei could handle that sort of thing." Minda asked thinking it was weird.

"She put away your clothing but not mine."

"That wasn't very nice of her. I'll talk to Auntie about it later."

"No need. She isn't my servant. I can handle my own affairs." Kai said. Minda didn't look convinced. Kai would be his spouse so what was his should be Kai's. It seemed strange if Auntie Feifei didn't help him.

"I'll talk to her anyway."

Minda meant to only think it but accidentally said it aloud. Kai overheard his light whispering. He sat down next to him on the bed and gently touched his flushed cheeks.

"Minda, you are very kind and thoughtful. I know you want to give me everything that is yours. I also wish to give you everything that is mine."

"Exactly, you are my husband so you should be treated the same as me."

"I am not your husband yet. The wedding isn't for another nine weeks." Kai corrected despite already moving his clothes and things into Minda's bedroom.

"Same difference." Minda grumbled.

"It's not the same. Besides, I'm not used to having servants. Even after we get married I don't intend to rely on their care. I prefer doing most things myself." Kai explained.

When it came to cooking and maintaining the estate he was willing to let the servants handle it. But for Minda's care, washing, and other more personal matters he couldn't let other's do them for him. They were things he wanted to do himself.

Minda looked at Kai feeling like he was lacking in regards to his own independence. He had to admit aside from helping with the cooking occasionally he let Auntie Feifei do everything else.

"Maybe I should start doing more?" Minda accidentally mused aloud again.

"You don't have to do more. All you need to do is focus on your health."
