"I wonder what they are doing." Minda said as they headed back towards the cabin. He could see the campsite not far away and was a little surprised with how quiet it seemed.
"I told you, General Lei gave everyone the day off. They would have gone over to a hot spring or the market to shop." Kai said as he continued pushing him towards the cabin.
"Is no one at the camp?"
"Gen is probably there cooking. Maybe someone else is with him to help guard the carts." Kai said.
"Should we go say hi? Maybe I can help."
"We'll see them tomorrow." Kai said as he moved faster and faster towards the cabin.
"Wait, we should go back to the market. We haven't bought any supplies. I also need to buy that pig I promised them." Minda said.
"I already gave General Lei the money for the pig and talked to Gen about buying our share of supplies yesterday."
"That's good but did he buy fruit? We are running low on both dry and fresh fruit. I know we won't be able to get as much as we did from Uncle Ran but it would be nice to have some."
"When we talk to him tomorrow don't be too disappointed if there isn't much variety. I gave Gen a list of things we'd like and plenty of money but the further north we travel the less likely we'll be able to find everything on the list." Kai explained.
"That's fine. As long as we have something. I remember you also mentioning we could forage and hunt our own food." Minda said. Kai could tell from his voice that he was excited to collect food in the wild.
"We'll probably have to start foraging after traveling another week."
"That long?"
"Maybe less if we run low on supplies or the General thinks we have time to spare."
...
They quickly reached the cabin and Kai busily moved around.
"What's the rush?" Minda curiously asked.
"No rush."
"You look like you're rushing. Is there something you need to do?" Minda asked him.
"I'm just preparing the room." Kai said.
"Preparing the room for what?" Minda asked. He slowly rolled over to the bed to see what Kai was doing when he saw him place a somewhat familiar jar on the bedside table.
"For anything you feel ready to do." Kai said with a lecherous grin.
Minda had a feeling their conversation in the morning was about to come up again. But it was only noon and if he gave in to Kai's obvious desires the rest of the day would be spent in bed.
"Kai, before we settle down here in the cabin could we go out and do one more thing?" Minda asked. He wasn't saying no but he was trying to postpone things for a little longer.
"What's do you want to do?"
"Well I was thinking we could take one of the horses and explore the area a bit. I noticed a big hill or is it considered a mountain... either way I was wondering what's at the top. This town is pretty unique because of the hot springs so maybe we could wander around a bit while we're at it." Minda said.
If he could Kai would throw Minda directly in bed and have his way with him. But satisfying his urges wasn't worth hurting his sweet MinMin. He stopped what he was doing and let out a long sigh to calm his urges.
"Most of the horses were probably taken by the General and the others but I think I saw one of them at the campsite. I'll go see if we can use it." Kai said after a long moment of silence.
