When they returned to the estate Minda was still asleep. Kai carefully carried him into the estate trying not to wake him. Unfortunately Minda wasn't as exhausted as expected and woke up as they were walking through the halls.

"Kai?"

"Did you sleep well?"

"I guess. When did we get back?" Minda asked still foggy after waking up.

"Just now. Do you want to go back to the bedroom to sleep a little longer?" Kai asked.

"No. Can you bring me over to my study? I want to test out my new ink stone." Minda said. Kai was happy to agree and so was Auntie Feifei who was quietly following behind with the wheelchair and Minda's recent purchases.

Once in the room Kai sat him down in his wheelchair while Auntie Feifei unpacked the scrolls and ink stone for Minda. When she was done she disappeared again to start preparing dinner.

"What do you plan on writing?" Kai asked. Minda looked up at Kai with a light blush.

"It's a secret." He said in a slight mischievous voice.

"Oh?"

"You're not allowed to look until it's done."

"I see. Then you wouldn't mind if I take care of a few things?" Kai asked.

"Like what?" Minda asked.

Kai paused for a long time. Since he had made the decision to leave he had been dreading the conversation but he knew he would have to tell him eventually. Especially since he needed to start preparing to leave.

Kai's long pause gave Minda a bad feeling. Thinking something was wrong he tried his best to turn around and face Kai directly.

"Kai, what do you plan on doing?" Minda asked again.

"The cost of the wedding is more than expected." Kai said. Minda's eyes went wide but then he calmed down.

"Are you planning to go hunting again to make some more money?" Minda asked after he calmed down and thought about it.

"I am." Kai said. Minda looked at Kai and noticed his brow was furrowed. Realizing Kai might have more to say Minda reached his hand out.

"Is there something else?" He asked.

"In order to make the money needed in a short period of time I need to go deeper in the mountains and set traps." Kai said as he took Minda's hand in his. Hearing that Kai needed to do more Minda's bad feeling worsened.

"What does that mean?"

"One week, a horse, a cart, and hunting gear. If I want to make a lot of money quickly I need all four of them." Kai said.

Minda didn't care about the horse or any of the other things but when he heard that Kai wanted to leave for a week his chest felt tight.

"No."

"Minda I understand that it sounds like a long time but I need to do this.

"No you don't. You're leaving because you want money. I have money. You can have my money. You don't need to leave." Minda stubbornly stated.

"It's not about the money." Kai tried to explain in a soft voice.

"Then why? Why do you want to leave for a week? Could it be... is this your way of telling me you don't want to get married?" Minda asked his eyes growing red.

"Minda, it's nothing like that."

"Then what is it? Why are you leaving me?"

"I told you. In order to make enough money to pay for the wedding and gift I ordered I need to go on an extended hunting trip deep in the mountains."
