The next morning Kai was woken up when Auntie Feifei lightly knocked on the door. At first when he heard her at the door he debated getting out of bed and pretending he was only there to check the stove. But then he decided it didn't matter if she saw them in bed together.

"She'll find out eventually. There's no reason to hide it." He thought as he waited for her to come inside.

?!!!

When she saw Kai laying in bed with Minda comfortably snuggled up against him she was both shocked and appalled.

"Sir Kai, what are you doing?" She loudly whispered.

Kai responded by raising his finger up to his lips. Auntie Feifei wanted to smack him. But she couldn't say anything with Minda sleeping. With no other option she could only leave the room in a huff and wait until her Young Master woke up to address the issue.

...

"Ow..." Minda whimpered as he tried to roll over in bed.

"What's wrong?" Kai asked the restless Minda. He had been awake for awhile but stayed in bed next to Minda because of his promise.

"My whole body aches." Minda honestly said while still half asleep. Kai wasn't surprised by his answer. It had rained all night and showed no signs of stopping.

Relax your body and I'll try giving you a massage." Kai said. He then stood up so he could lift the blanket he had been laying on top of and give Minda a massage. As he was just about to lift it Minda grabbed his arm to stop him.

"I don't need a massage. I'm fine." He said when he realized he had just complained to Kai. His attempt to act tough failed given his pale complexion. Kai raised his hand and fixed Minda's loose hair before talking and noticed something alarming.

"You aren't fine. You're running a fever. Let me give you a massage to help ease the pain. I also need to call your servant and have them bring some medicine for the inflammation and fever." Kai said his voice a little strained.

"Fever?" Minda repeated a bit confused.

"Yes, you're running a light fever and need to take some medicine."
Kai hadn't notice earlier but when he went to touch Minda's hair his hand brushed across Minda's feverish forehead.

"Why? Did I catch a cold?" Minda asked.

"I believe its because of the stress of your injuries. It doesn't feel high but you should take some medication anyway." Kai tried to sound calm but inside he felt sick with worry.

With Minda's fever Kai decided to go talk to Auntie Feifei first before attempting to massage his body. When he got out of bed Minda instinctively reached out to grab his sleeve.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to tell your servant to prepare your medication now." Kai said. Minda wasn't happy but he really didn't feel well. With no other choice he slipped his hand back under the blanket and watched Kai leave the room.

...

It didn't take long for Kai to find Auntie Feifei. She had been waiting for him to get out so she could check on Minda for a long time.

"Sir Kai, regarding..."

"Minda needs his medication. He's running a fever and in pain because of the weather." Kai interrupted. He did not want or have time to listen to her complaints about him sleeping in Minda's bed.

Auntie Feifei agreed and hurried to the kitchen without saying another word to prepare Minda's medication. Kai was happy to see her leave and quickly went back to the bedroom.
