Minda arrived at the summer estate at night. It was located a third of the way up ZiLong Mountain. The secluded nature and cool mountain air made it a perfect summer home. It was early spring now so the air was cold but Minda felt fine because Auntie Feifei had wrapped him up in several warm layers.

Entering the estate he felt a little lonely but there were no flashbacks. The situation was already much better than when he returned to his family home at the Capital. Auntie Feifei helped him get settled in the same room he always used. It was at the back of the estate surrounded by trees and a small waterfall and stream that could be heard from inside the room. He and his brothers would often go swimming there when the weather was hot.

"The house is a little in disarray. We'll hire more servants in the morning and everything will be cleaned and organized soon." Auntie Feifei said.

"There's no rush. I'm the only one here. The other rooms can be sealed off or used for storage. As for hiring other staff I don't think it's necessary. I'm the only one here and most of the house will be locked up. I'll also be helping around the house. I can't do much from my wheelchair but I can help with the cooking and... and... I can't think of anything else I can do from my wheelchair but if there is I'll do it." Minda said.

"If your worried about money I assure you with your family coffers there is no need to tighten your purse strings. You can afford to higher staff and live comfortable." Auntie Feifei said.

"It's difficult to explain but I'd rather the house stay quiet." Minda said. He really couldn't explain why he felt the way he did. But the thought of opening the house and hiring new staff made him feel uncomfortable.

Auntie Feifei had her suspicions as to the reason why Minda might not want more people at the house. Thinking it would be best not to press the issue she agreed to do as Minda asked.

"Get some rest for tonight. Syaoran will be staying in the room next to yours in case you need anything." Auntie Feifei said as she changed the bedding for Minda.

"That's not really necessary. He can sleep in his usual room."

"Nonsense, what if you need to use the bathroom? You'll need someone to help you. I could stay myself but with my old bones it isn't easy for me to lift you." Auntie Feifei said.

Minda felt embarrassed. He knew dhe was right about him needing help. He tried doing things on his own but he was still weak from his injuries. Since leaving the hospital Syaoran had been the one helping him the most.

"Maybe for a few days. Once I get used to living here with my wheelchair he can move back to his usual room." Minda said. He didn't want to rely completely on Syaoran and remain the same naive cursed young master of the Chen family who wasted the days away under his family's protection. He wanted to become someone his family could be proud of. Someone Kai could be proud of.

...

"The bath is ready." Syaoran announced from the doorway.

"You'll sleep much better after a nice warm bath." Auntie Feifei said as she pushed him out of the room. Minda had mixed feelings about the bath. He always enjoyed taking them but now he needed the assistance of others to do so.

In the bathroom, Syaoran helped him undress. Feeling shy Minda was careful to cover up with the washcloth. Syaoran didn't seem bothered by the situation at all. He continued to smile kindly as he lifted him up and placed him in the water. The bath smelled of medicinal herbs. It was prepared specifically for him to help his wounds heal and relax his body.

"Thank you for always helping me." Minda said hoping to ease the awkwardness.

"No need to thank me Young Master." Syaoran said as he passed him some soap.
