Our Love Always Finds A Way

"Adam, don't blame yourself. I thought I was fine because I had you back.."

It was the next morning Sally was still in the hospital because her blood pressure was elevated. Nikki kept her word and stayed with her. Sally was getting restless and wanting to go home
"Sally I know you  want to go home but with your blood pressure high they need to make sure you are okay"Nikki told her
"Or that's what they want me to think and they are waiting for the right moment to tell me I'm crazy" she said
"Sally your are not crazy"Nikki said softly
Sally cried "I must be Nikki, if I imagined Helen being here" she said getting worked up again
"Sally ..Sally you need to stay calm for this baby okay"she took her hand
"I don't understand why I saw her though.. why"she said
"I might have the answer to that Sally"they heard Elena's voice
Sally looked at here "Elena I know you'd be working today"Sally said
"My shift just started and I saw your name"she said
Elena gestured for permission to sit down Sally nodded
"So I looked over chart to see what brought you in"
"So do you have any ideas to why she had this anxiety attack"Nikki asked
Elena smiled "Yesterday when ran into each other at Society. You were telling me about Adam's trip and about the last time he was away"she said
"Yes, but me and Adam discussed it and everything so what happened" Sally said
Elena nodded "Talking it out is good but.."
"Living it is another story"Nikki said
"You associated Helen with Adam away which explains why it happened..but what triggered it"
Sally looked at her "I don't know, I thought it was sleep deprived or.." she said
Elena took her hand "Sally I'm gonna help you okay will figure it out but your not crazy and we need to keep you calm"
Sally nodded then looked over a Nikki "Thanks for being here for me. You don't have to stay. I'm sure Victor is going nuts being alone with my girls" she told her
"I'm sure he is, but I promised Adam I wouldn't leave you"
Sally smiled "Any word of him heading home" she asked
"No, I haven't gotten an update" Nikki told her
Sally looked down "Is my baby okay"she asked stroking her bump
Elena smiled "Yes, everything looks on the monitor. And I know it's hard not to but don't worry.. if you are calm they will be too" she reassured her
"You know what let's change the subject to the baby"Nikki smiled "What are you and Adam hoping for this time"she asked
"I go back and forth a lot when I watch Adam with our girls. I wonder what he'd be like with our son.. I mean his bond with Connor is something"she told her
"He is a good father I give him that" Nikki said
"He is"Sally said "Part of what made me fall in love with him"she started crying
"Sally, what's wrong"Elena asked
"I want Adam here" she said
Nikki rubbed her arm "Hopefully soon"
Just then the door opened revealing Adam
"Oh Baby. I'm here"he went right over to her
Nikki moved out of the way for him
Sally clung to him
"Thank God you are okay and the baby is it okay" he asked
Elena nodded
He focused back on Sally he was brushing his hands through her hair
"I'm sorry I scared you"she said softly
"Shh it's okay. I'm sorry I couldn't get to you fast enough"he said
Sally hugged him tightly
"Now that you are here and she is with the one person she wanted. I'm going to head home and help Victor with the girls" she told them
Adam looked at her "Thank you for being there for her,you have no idea how much that meant to me. I owe you" he told Nikki still holding onto Sally
"No worries I'm glad I went. All that matters now is Sally is okay" she told him "She will be now"
"Once we are home I'll come get the girls" he said
"Focus on Sally right now. We got them" she blew Sally a kiss and left

Adam sat in bed with Sally, she wrapped her arms around him and buried herself into him. Adam could feel her body relax. Elena watched the monitor and saw her blood pressure come down
"Is everything okay"he asked
"Yea, her blood pressure is coming down which was the main concern"she told him
"Adam"Sally said softly
"I'm here, I'm not going anywhere" he kissed her head
"It felt real.. like she was really here" she said
"I bet it did. I can't imagine what it felt like"he died stroking her back "What I have been trying to figure out on the way here is what happened between the time we talked to the call I got from you"he said
Sally looked up at him "I don't remember calling you" she told him
"You don't" he asked "What do you remember"
"Adam maybe we should let her rest" Elena suggested
"No it's okay"Sally sat up a little "I remember us talking before bed" she tucked her hair behind her ear "You told me about the flight delay, we good night and then everything happened"
Elena looked at them "Your flight got delayed" he asked Adam
"There was a storm so they couldn't fly the jet as planned"he informed her
"I think I know what triggered everything" she jotted something down
Both Adam and Sally looked at her confused
"Do you mind sharing it"Adam asked
"Oh sorry, yes. You called Sally about not being able to come home as planned and that seemed to triggered her to thinking the worst. The last time something bad happened"
"Helen was involved" Adam added
" Exactly"she smiled
"So like you said earlier that I associated Helen with Adam being away so when he told me about the flight .. I what came up with scenarios in my head and actually believed them"Sally was getting worried
"Our minds do some crazy things when we are traumatized"Elena said
Adam cupped her face "Baby I'm so sorry" he kissed her forehead
"So why am remembering what didn't happen and blocking out calling Adam which really did happen"she asked
"Your mind was so focused on being afraid that it took over the reality"Elena leaned in "Sally, everything is going to okay. I'm going to set you up with a really good therapist to help you over come the trauma you went through. Because you never truly got over it"
Adam held her close to him
"I'll give you two some time. I'll be back to check on you soon" she smiled and left

They just laid there in each other's arms. Taking in the feeling of their heartbeats
"Sally, I'm so sorry I should have suggested us therapy when everything happened"he said into her
"Adam, don't blame yourself. I thought I was fine because I had you back.. but"she said
"But .. what Sal" he looked down at her
"But do we truly know if Helen is actually gone" she said not moving
Adam held her tighter "Don't worry I'm going to find out to put both our minds at ease" he said. He placed his hand on her bump "Seems like Bug settled down for you" he smiled
"Ya, maybe that's why they were going nuts, maybe they could tell I wasn't okay and they trying to help me"she looked at him she smiled "Like would have"
"Maybe"he stroked her cheek "I mean it is my kid after all"he kissed
"I want to go home"she laid her head on his chest
"Hopefully now that your blood pressure is down they'll release you soon" he told her
Sally fell asleep in his arms. Adam didn't dare to move so he laid there watching the monitors

    A few hours later they discharged Sally. Elena gave them a name of the therapist and put in the word they would be making an appointment. Adam was driving her home his hand resting on her thigh, hers over his with the other on her stomach
"Baby, would you like them to bring the girls home as soon as we get home or would you like to sleep a little"he asked
"I want my girls"she told him
Adam smiled "Okay" he took her hand and kissed it "As soon as we get you home I'll call deal" he said
Sally nodded "What is everyone gonna think when they hear what happened"she asked
"Sally this isn't a bad thing everyone knows what we no what you through no one is going to judge"he looked at her "And if anyone gives you trouble I'll take care of it"he caressed her cheek
"I love you"she said softly

   Adam carried her into the house Sally was giggling
"Adam I'm not on bed rest I'm perfectly capable of walking"she said
"I know but it's my job to take care of you and that's what I'm doing"he placed her onto the couch
"Okay"she smiled "But Adam it's summer I don't need a blanket" she protested
"Fine" he said sitting down next to her
Sally took his hand and sat in silence for a bit
"Sally what thinking about" he asked
" I have to apologize to you" she said playing with his ring
"For what Sally"he asked
"I'm sorry I'm not the strong independent woman you fell in love with"she said not looking at him
Adam placed his hand on her chin to make her look at him "Sally you are don't ever doubt you aren't. This doesn't change who you are got it" he told her
Sally nodded
"Now take a rest while I call to bring our girls home"
Sally laid down, Adam kissed her forehead

A little while later Victor and Nikki brought the girls to the house. Adam opened the door
"There are my beautiful girls" he smiled at them "Did you have fun with Grandpa and Nikki"he asked
Mazie reached for her Daddy
"Hello Mazie Moo" he said as he gave her kisses
"They did, they were angels for us"Nikki told him "But apparently Miss Hadley was upset I wasn't there"she smiled at her
"Oh no Haddie does Grandpa scare you"Adam teased and tickled her "Do you two want to go see Mommy. I know she has missed you" he said looking between both of them
"Are those my girls"Sally called out
"Oh"he got excited "I think she's awake, let's go"
They walked into the living room. Sally smiled seeing her girls. Nikki was holding Hadley who got a huge smile seeing her Mommy
Nikki set her down and Haddie walked as fast as she could over to Sally giggling
"Oh there's my Bean"Sally said as she carefully picked her up "I missed you"she said giving her a bunch of kisses "So so much"she hugged her
"She missed you too"Victor said
Adam came over to her and handed her Mazie. Who hugged her Mommy
"Oh Mazie Moo I love you"she kissed her
"Sally I got to say from seeing you a little while ago, you look so much better"Nikki smiled
Sally smiled "Thanks, I'll Adam tell you both on what happened. But I can't thank you enough for being there for me. I was a mess who knows what could have happened if you didn't come" she started getting emotional
Nikki came over to her "I'm just grateful I got there and I hope you know I'll always be here for anything"she kissed her head
"We should get going"Victor told her "Let her rest"
They left and Adam sat down with his girls

  It was toward the end of the night Adam and Sally were in bed with Mazie and Hadley, they were FaceTiming Connor
"Say goodnight to brother" Sally told them "Say love you"she smiled
Haddie leaned into the phone and kissed it
"Well that's one way to do it"Adam said laughing
"Nite nite Haddie"Connor said chuckling
"How about  you Mazie"Sally smile at her "Say bye bye"she waved
"Lov yooo"Mazie said it a sweet little voice
Adam and Sally smiled at each other
"Good girl"Sally kissed Mazie's head
"Love you too Maze. I'll see you all soon" he told them
"We love you Con"Adam said
"Love you both too" he said the hung up
Sally laid back and sighed
"He seems good, considering it's only been a couple days"she said looking at Adam
"Ya he did"he laid down "He was concerned about you" he reached for her hand "But I know for the time he there he is going to love it"
Hadley crawled over to Sally and laid on her stomach
Sally smiled and rubbed her head softly "Are you giving the baby kisses"she asked
"You know we haven't discussed any name for Bug yet"Adam said holding Mazie in the air
"No since we aren't finding out what we are having, we could look at the list we made for the girls and see if anything comes to mind" she told him
"We could do that"he said "Now do we remember what those names were" he laughed
Sally laughed as well and kissed Hadley "We will come up with something"she said
"You know we could always go with Bug"he smirked
"Huh" she thought "Connor, Mazie, Hadley and Bug Newman"she listed sarcastically
"It's different right" he said
"It is" she looked down at her stomach "What do you think is that your name Bug" she smiled "They didn't kick so I guess not"she laughed
"Will come up with something perfect for them"
Both girls fell asleep each of the on one of their parents. Adam and Sally just laid there taking in the moment watching them sleep
"Soon will have three"Adam looked at Sally "You ready for it"
"Yes I am"she looked over at him "Are you" she asked
Adam rested his hand on her stomach "Yes I can't wait to be able to hold them"he looked down at his sleeping girls "And to watch them as sisters"he said
"Adam they are already sisters, to Connor and each other" she gave him a look
"I meant big sisters"he laughed "I'm going to put these to in their cribs"he told her
"Okay"she gently handed Hadley to him
                  ****************
   Adam came back to the room to find Sally laying on her side holding her stomach looking concerned
"Are you okay" he asked coming over to her
"Ya,Bug started kicking"she grabbed his hand and placed it where they were kicking
Adam smiled then leaned down and kissed Sally's bump "I can't wait to hold you Bug I'm so jealous of Mommy"he said looking at Sally
"It won't be long now" she said kissing Adam's forehead
