"She won't suffer Sal, she'll be helping her sister"

Sally hasn't spoken a word to Adam since finding out. Adam was afraid to say what he wanted to say. Sally was laying in bed with Hadley reading her a story
"I'm going to call everyone to come and see if they are a match, we are going to find someone"he told her
Sally didn't respond, she just continued to read to Haddie
Adam to tell she was beginning to shut down. He went over and leaned over her
"Sally, I know this news came as a shock to us" he tried to wrap his arm around her
"Adam, I can't not now" she pulled away from him
Just then the door open Adam and Sally were shocked to see Nikki enter the room
"Nikki, what are you doing here"Adam asked
"How did you even know"Sally added
"I went over to see how things were and Coco informed me you two took Haddie to the hospital. Did they figure out what is wrong, is everything okay" she asked
Sally shook her head as tears began to fall again "No.." her voice was breaking
"Um Nikki we just found out...our daughter has leukemia, she's really sick"Adam told her
"Oh my God" Nikki was shocked "I'm so sorry"she went over to hug Sally "This is treatable right, or I heard it was"she asked stroking Sally's hair
Adam nodded "Ya, she's going need a bone marrow transplant"he looked over at Sally
"I call Victor and he'll do everything he can to find a match"she told them
"We did"Sally said quietly
"Wow that was fast .. this is great"Nikki sounded hopeful
"It's not Nikki ... because I can't do it"Sally got off the bed and looked so broken
"Wait the person is you... but why can't you do"Nikki asked
Sally looked at Adam, she sighed before answering "Because on top of finding out our daughter is sick, we were also informed that I'm ... I'm pregnant"she looked down
"Oh honey"she went over to hug her
Sally pulled our of her hold went back over to Hadley
Nikki watched her for a minute
"Why don't you two go home and pick up some of Haddie's favorite things. I'll stay with her"
"I'm not leaving her, I promised her"Sally said looking at her
"It doesn't have to long. You both have been giving a lot of information in a short amount of time. Why don't you go digest it, and see Mazie and Eden. I promise Sally I won't leave her, besides you know she love you Nana Nikki" she gave a small laugh
Sally kissed Haddie, then got up and left with out acknowledging Adam

Adam was driving to the house, Sally was looking out the window motionless. Adam reached over and took her hand
"Sally you can talk to me"he said softly
"I don't want to right, I agreed to go get Haddie's things, see the girls for a bit, but I don't to talk about it now"she said not looking at him
Adam nodded and kept driving,

Mazie and Eden hugged their parents. Sally held back her tears as she held Eden
"Is Haddie better" Mazie asked still holding onto Adam
Sally looked at Adam both not knowing how to respond
"Girls, why don't you go finish the pictures you are drawing  for Hadley"Coco told them
Adam and Sally let go of the girls and they ran to the other room. Coco looked back at them and saw Sally crying
"What's going on with Hadley"she asked
"We are going to need all the family to get tested to see if their a match for her bone marrow transplant"Adam told her
"Of course anything for our girl" she said "I'm guessing, you two were one"she asked
"No, one of us was but we hit a road block"Sally told her wrapping her arms around herself
"Sally our baby isn't a road block"Adam snapped
"It is when I can't help Hadley Adam"she shot at him
Coco was stunned "Sally wait are you...."
Sally looked at her sister "Yes Coco, I'm pregnant, Yay"she said sarcastically
"Sally come on.."Adam was taken aback
"I'm her Mom, I'm supposed to make her feel better. I was an option to help her, and I can't.. because of..."she looked down "This baby"
Adam went to hug her, she backed away
"I'm going to go get some of Haddie's things then I want to head back to her" she told him and ran upstairs
Coco came up to Adam and placed her hand on his shoulder "This is a lot to grasp for both of you, give her time to adjust"she told him
Adam nodded then went up to check on Sally

He found Sally sitting on Haddie bed holding her bear, running her hand over it
"Sally, maybe we can consider seeing if Mazie is a match for her"
"Adam,I told you no I don't want to put her through that. It's bad enough I have one child sick, I don't need to make the offer suffer because of it"
"She won't suffer Sal, she'll be helping her sister"he told her
"I said NO" she shot at him
"Okay I'm sorry" he held up his hands
Sally got up and started packing a bag for Hadley "No I'm sorry, you are just trying to come up with another solution"she told him
Adam thought for a second then took a deep breath "Um Sally" he said pausing for a second "Um you know if you want to... if you to help Hadley it's okay"
Sally had her back towards him and stood there registering what he said "Adam I can't remember"
"I know you can't Sal,and it pains me to suggest this .."
Sally turned around looking confused "What are saying Adam"
"I won't blame you if you decide to ..."
"Adam are crazy, are you actually suggesting that I should kill one baby just to save the other" she yelled at him
"Sally I don't want you to.. I hate this"he sat on the bed with his head in his hands
Sally came over and sat beside him and sighed "I may not have shown it, we may not have gotten excited. But I'm happy that I get to finally carry another child of ours"she took his hand and placed it on her stomach "Yes it breaks my heart that I'm the one who could have helped and I'm not able to"she placed her hand over his "Adam this baby is meant to be here"she smiled
Adam kissed her forehead, she rested her head on his shoulder

They arrived back at the hospital. Hadley was awake, she smiled when she saw her Mommy and Daddy and reached for them
"Mommy" she said
"Hey my Bean"she came over and hugged her "How's my beautiful girl"
Haddie leaned in and hugged Adam he kissed her
"Thanks Nikki for staying with her, I hope she wasn't scared when she woke up"
"Of course, and she was fine"she told her
"Can you notify the rest of the family for us"Adam asked
"Me and Victor will be on"she smiled and kissed Sally's cheek "You take care of yourself"she said softly moving a piece of Sally's hair out of her face
Sally smiled and nodded
Adam went over and sat in the chair Nikki was sitting in "Guess who me and Mommy brought for you"he said pulling out her bear
"MY BEAR" she smiled and hugged it
"And your sisters made you these pictures, maybe we can hang them up" Sally showed her "And Coco sends her love"she kissed her forehead

Late that night Adam and Sally were laying on the cot the nurses brought in for them. Sally's head was resting on his chest. They just watched their girl sleep
"How did this happen Adam, how energetic girl get so sick"she said
"I wish I knew"he was stroking her hair "I also wish it was me"
"They are supposed to be starting her treatment tomorrow while we search for a donor"Sally said
"We are going to find one Sal, even if I go to another country to find one"
Sally looked up at him "I know you would"she said softly "I just wish this wasn't real"she said
"I know me too"he held her close "I hope you don't resent me later"
Sally sat up "Why would I Adam"
"I asked to try again, and I know a part of you is upset"
Sally caressed his cheek "Hey, I could never resent you, because we agreed to try again. Who knew it would be on the first try" she chuckled "I want you to not blame yourself Adam because I know are"
He took her hand and kissed it "You know you won't be able to be with Haddie because of this pregnancy"
Sally was surprised "What no, they can't keep me away"she pulled out her phone and researched it "Adam it's says it okay see"
He took the phone "Sally Baby, I'd feel comfortable if you weren't just until we get an official all clear for you.Will you do that for me" he whispered
Sally nodded and looked over at Hadley
"You know I'll be with her, she won't be alone"
Sally looked down "I'd rather you carry this baby" she almost started crying
Adam laced their fingers together "You know I would if I could"he told her
Sally leaned into him wrapping her arms around him. Adam brought them down and laid back down

The next morning Sally was saying goodbye to Hadley before the nurses came to start her treatment
"Why can't you stay with me"Hadley asked
"Oh Bean"she was stroking her face "Mommy needs to go see Mazie and Eden, but Daddy is going to be with and I'll be back as soon as I can"she kissed her
Adam smiled at Haddie and taped her nose, before walking Sally to the door holding her hand
"I know this is hard"he whispered
"You'll update me every second"she said
"You know I will Sal, we will FaceTime as soon as she's up for it okay"he kissed her lips then hugged her "Remember our girl is a Spectra and Newman she's strong because of you and me"
Sally held him tighter and nodded into him
"You go give our other two girls hugs for me.. I'm sure our Eden will make you feel better"

Sally walked into the house, she stood there lost when Coco came in
"Sally are you okay"she asked
"Um where are Mazie and Eden"she asked looking around
"Oh Nikki took them out for breakfast"she told her
Sally finally let herself fall apart and crumbled to the ground. Coco came up to her and wrapped her arms around Sally. Sally clung to her as she cried

Coco brought Sally over to the couch once she calmed down a little, she was still crying
"Can i get you anything" she asked
"Since Nikki has the girls can you go see if you are a match please"Sally asked
"Yes, but I don't want to leave you"Coco rubbed her back
Bentley jumped on her lap and rested his head on her
"I'll be alright, I have my boy Benny"she kissed him
"I'll even stop by and see Hadley" she told her
"She'll love that"Sally gave her a small smile

Sally just got off the phone with Adam, she was petting Bentley. When Nikki came back with the girls. Mazie ran up the stairs
"Mommy you are home, is Daddy here too" she asked
"No I'm sorry, he is with Haddie" she told her
"Oh" she looked disappointed
Nikki followed carrying Eden, who jumped down and climbed on Sally
"Can I go to my room"Mazie asked
Sally looked at her "Can I get a hug first"she reached out to her
Mazie leaned and lightly hugged her disappointing Sally. She then ran inside
Eden held onto Sally resting her head on her. Nikki came over and sat in the other rocking chair, watching Sally cuddled Eden
"Nikki it's the only first day,and I want to be over" she took a deep breath
Nikki took her hand "It will be soon, you guys are one day closer"
