"Our little Robin"

After they made love Adam and Sally just peacefully laid there in bed. Adam rolled onto his side to looked at her. Sally had her eyes closed
"I don't know about you but something about what just occurred.. it felt different" she said softly
Adam ran his fingers up her arm "I know, are you okay"he asked in a hush tone
Sally opened her eyes "Why do you ask"she looked over at him
"Because what just happened and what brought it on Sally, I mean you were emotional.. I mean we both were"he looked at her "Was this some escape or did it change anything" he asked
Sally turned on her side to face him "I'll admit everything we have been through these past few months was built into this"she intertwined their fingers "To answer your question, I'm okay no I'm better then okay Adam" she smiled at him
"So did this change anything" he softly caressed her cheek
Sally didn't say anything she turned over and pulled the divorce papers out of her nightstand. Adam got a worried look on his face
"Even though I have already decided I wasn't going through with this"she looked at them for a second "I want you to be the one to tear them up"she handed them to him
Adam smiled then tore them up and threw the pieces of paper up in the air. Sally leaned into him and laughed. She rested her head on his chest, he wrapped his arms around her
"I'm sorry I didn't make it easy for you" she said
"Seeing you like that it broke me, you were trying so hard to be the mom our girls needed all while grieving the one we lost" he said resting his chin on her head
"Our kids are amazing I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have them" she told him
Sally started to cry, Adam looked down
"Hey, hey what's wrong Sal"he asked
"I thought I was better off without you"she kissed his arm that was around her "But I'm not I don't want to be without you anymore"she said
Adam turned her face to look at him You don't have to be... ever again"he said stroking her cheek with his thumb
Sally just rolled on top of him and began to kiss him, Adam deepened the kiss and ran his hand up her back. Adam rolled her back so she was under him and pulled away looked at her lovingly, he could tell she was thinking of something
"What's on your mind"he asked
"I don't want to forget them"she told him
Adam sighed "We won't l, we couldn't. Even though we didn't know about them long they'll forever be in our hearts and place just for them" he said
"Robin" she said softly
Adam looked at her confused "What" he asked
Sally sat up a little "I have been calling the baby Robin"she said pulling the blanket closer to herself "I'm sorry that was probably wrong of me to do ...without you"
Adam sat up beside her "No" he shook his head "It's okay, but I have to ask why Robin"he asked softly
"Every time I would think of the baby .. which was a lot"she paused "I'd see a robin in some form"she looked over at him "And since we never know the gender.. it felt right somehow"she shrugged as tears fell
Adam took her hand "I love it"he smiled "Our little Robin"he said
Sally smiled fell into his arms and they fell asleep holding each other

The next morning Sally was getting ready for the day when Adam came out of the bathroom and went over to her and began kissing her neck. Sally immediately stopped what she was doing closing her eyes and took in the moment.
Sally leaned into him and started to moan
"I don't know how I'm going to be able to keep my hands off of you" he said moving down to her shoulder
"I know but we need to keep it between us for now, we can't let the kids see .. just yet" she said turning to face him, she pulled on his shirt that was still open "But you're right it's gonna be hard to resist..all this" she moved her hand up his chest
Adam wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer "I missed flirting with you"he pressed his nose up against hers
Sally smiled "Me too"
"I forgot to mention earlier, I'm loving the shorter hair"he tossed it aside a little
"Thanks, I needed to make a change that's not so permanent"she looked down feeling ashamed about the divorce papers
"Sally stop that"he placed his finger on her chin lifting her head to look at him "I don't hold against you, sure was I shocked, yes was I hurt, maybe. I'm going to be honest with you I understand"he kissed her
"Why don't you go check and see if the girls are up for breakfast, while I go make Eddy's favorite" she said winking at him
"Sounds like a plan"he gave her one more kiss

  Adam checked Mazie and Hadley's first knowing very well they were asleep still. He then went to Eden's room, who was slowly waking up. He smiled at say on her bed
"Good morning Bug"he said rubbing her face
Eden opened her eyes and smiled when she saw her Daddy "Daddy, you are still here"she said all groggy
"Of course I am, I told you I would be"he pressed his forehead against hers "And Daddy always keeps his promises"he said then tickled her
Eden started t giggle
"Guess what,Mama is making someone's favorite breakfast"
" PANCAKES"her eyes lite up
"Yes Ma'am"he pulled the covers off her "Come on let's go eat"
Eden reached for him "Carry me Daddy"she asked
"How can I say no"he picked her up, she wrapped her legs around him

   Adam entered the kitchen with Eden, her head resting on his shoulder
"Look who was up Mama"Adam announced to Sally who was mixing the pancake mix
"Good morning Eddy are you hungry"she asked as she came over to them and kissed her cheek
Eden nodded then pulled closer so she could hug both her parents
Adam and Sally giggled and hugged her tighter, then look at each other and smiled
"Come on Bug"she took her from Adam "You can help Mama get things out for breakfast"she told her as she headed to the fridge
After everything was done Sally placed Eden at the table and kissed her head. Adam brought the pancakes to the table, he saw Mazie and Hadley out of the corner of his eye
"Looks like the smell of pancakes woke up our sleeping beauties"Adam chuckled then gave them kisses on their heads as the came by
Sally laughed as well seeing they were still sleepy
The girls  got in their seats, Sally handing them pancakes, Haddie looked around
"Do we have whipped cream"she asked
"Do we"Adam answered taking the can and spraying some in his mouth "I think we do"he said with it still in his mouth
He went over behind Hadley's chair and sprayed some in her mouth making her giggle
"Adam don't give her a sugar high"Sally told him
"Me next"Mazie raised her hand
Adam looked over at Sally, she eyed him
"If you do, you are in charge of them today" she told him sitting next to Eden
Adam gave her a knowing smirk and proceeded to spray some for Mazie "Now eat"he tapped her nose

They were all eating, Adam and Sally were both watching their daughters. Adam nonchalantly took Sally's hand and held it on his thigh under the table. Sally looked over and smiled. Their moment was broken by Mazie asking an important question
"Daddy do we have to go to camp today, Eden gets to stay home"she asked
"Ya cause I got a boo-boo"she said not looking at her and continuing to eat
Adam looked at Sally "They can miss one day,can't they"he said
Sally nodded "Sure..but"she held up her hand before they got excited "We aren't doing anything rough today we aren't going to get crazy. I don't need another trip to the hospital"she told them looking over at Adam "That goes for you to Daddy" she said in a stern voice
The girls all laughed
Adam lean over to Sally and whispered "You should have given me this rule last night"he winked
"Last night is why you are getting this rule"she whispered back then taking a bite of her food
Connor came into the kitchen and noticed a change with Adam and Sally. Sally saw him first
"Morning, would you like some pancakes"she asked
"Morning" he looked around "Did I go back in time or something, you two seem like... before"he said
Sally looked at Adam and smiled before looking back over at Connor "That's because your father and I finally talked and I'm happy to say everything seems to be looking up"
"It is" he agreed
Connor gave Sally a look "So does that mean...."
Sally wanted to wait to saying anything but knew she couldn't lie to him "Yes,your father is back home"she told him looking at Adam "That is if wants to come home of course"
Adam sighed and got tears in his eyes then kissed her
Mazie and Hadley cheered while Eden clapped all of them yelling "Yay Daddy's home"
Adam and Sally laughed while still kissing
"Now we can get a puppy" Eden said
Sally pulled away "What puppy"she asked
"Daddy said we can get a puppy some day and Daddy is coming home is some day"she said pointing it out to her Mama
Adam laughed at his daughter's logic "Not what Daddy meant when he said that, they are a lot of work and .."he looked at Sally for help
"Nope you created this, this is all on you mister"she held up her hands
"Maybe some other time Bug"he told her
"My birthday" she asked
Connor laughed "You are adorable Eddy"he kissed her head as he took a pancake "I'm heading to work"he told them
"Bye, love you"Adam told him
The girls all waved
"Con, can you play soccer with me when you comeback home"Hadley asked
"Hadley Siena, what did I just tell you"Sally said sternly
"No rough play" she looked down "So no one gets hurt"
Sally nodded then got up and started clearing the table
"Alright Daddy you are in charge of these crazy girls..good luck"she told him and stuck out her tongue at him

A little later Mazie and Haddie were playing go fish with Eden on the living room floor. Adam was on his laptop watching them on the couch. He noticed he hasn't seen Sally in a bit
"Girls Daddy will be back,behave" he told them
"Okay" Mazie answered for them
Adam found Sally in their bedroom doing laundry, but she seem anxious. He shut the door a little to still be able to hear the girls
"Sally are you okay"he asked
"Ya, I'm good"she smiled at him
Adam came over "Want to try that answer again. Is it to soon for me to come back" he asked
Sally put down the shirt "No this isn't about us. This is about LA"
"What about it, you are going to kill it" he told her
Sally started crying "I don't want to go alone..."
"Sally you don't have to I'm sure we can have Audra go, you two can make a girls trip or something"he suggested
Sally shook her head "Would it be rushing it if I asked you" she choked out
Adam moved the pile of clothes out of the way and sat in front of her on the bed "If you want me to come... I'm there"he wiped her tears away
Sally fell into his arms "I want you there ... no I need you there"she softly said "But what do we do with the girls.."she asked
He pulled her back to look at her "We bring them"he smiled and raised his eyebrows "We will make it a family vacation. To mark a fresh start"
"They haven't seen LA yet it could be fun to show them where I lived"she said
"Yes and we can see which place they like more Cali or Kansas"he added
Sally pulled him on top of her and kissed him. Adam deepened the kiss and placed his hands on her hips. Adam rolled them on top of the clothes. They got lost in the make out session
"MAMA I'M HUNGRY" Eden called out
Sally and Adam pulled apart "Okay Bug Mama will be right there"she said
Adam groaned in disappointment and buried his face in her neck "Is it to late to send them to camp"he mumbled into her
Sally laughed and rubbed his head "Yes and besides Eden wasn't going anyway" she told him
Sally pulled him back to look at him "How about this idea, you go to the tack house"
"What"Adam looked confused
Sally pushed him to lay him down and got on top "To go get you things" she began to kiss his neck "So you can officially come back home... to me"she smiled
"Oh I love that idea"he said "Maybe if you are fast enough, we can continue this reunion some more"she ran her hands up his chest
"I thought you said no can get hurt today"he asked
"I won't hurt you" she smirked

Before Adam headed home he stopped at the Athletic Club to see Connor on his break
"So it's official you're back home"Connor asked
"Yes"Adam told him
"Dad I owe you an apology for not staying with you"he said
"No Con you don't you are a teenager and you were comfortable staying. And I knew this wasn't forever"Adam said
"That's not the reason I stayed though"Connor said
"Okay so why did you stay"Adams asked
"I know this isn't my responsibility but I know what happened" he said
"So you know about the baby" Adam stated
"Yes and I'm sorry"he said
"Thanks, so you stayed.."
"To look out for Sally" he said "She was a mess she put on brave face I could see the light gone from her eyes"
Adam nodded "Yes this torn her up, but like you said it's not responsibly. I'm sure Sally would have told you that"he said
"She did. I also felt like if I left too my sisters .."
"Would think it was permanent"Adam said for him
"Me being there I think helped Sally not give up"
"Well I'm glad you were there for them but I'm back now. I'm proud of you son"Adam told him

Adam returned home and found both Sally and Eden asleep on the couch, Eden laying on Sally. He took a picture of his girls Adam then sat on the floor and kissed Sally's forehead. That woke up Sally
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to wake you. It's just been a long time since I was able to kiss my sleeping wife" he said
Sally smiled "It's okay"she looked at him while softly rubbing Eden's back
"Where are our other two"he asked
"In our room, since Eddy can't watch tv yet I let them watch some movies" she looked over at the stairs. Then back at Eden "We then fell asleep"she laughed a little
Adam smiled at Eden and started stroking her little hand which was draped over the side of Sally "It's crazy how she isn't a Daddy's girl or Mama's girl"
"She's our girl. It's been that way since day one" Sally smiled
"I was thinking on the way home .. it's like she brought us back together"he said
"We always put them first Adam. I just wish she didn't hurt"she said looking at her "But I know what you mean though, thank you"
"For what" he asked
"For not giving up on me"she said
"I could never Sal"he told her
"Mama"Eden whispered
"Yes baby" Sally answered
"I'm glad Daddy's home"she said then went back to sleep
Sally kissed the top of her head "Me too"she smiled
Adam smiled back "Me three" he took Sally's hand and kissed it
