"We both have the best parts of Adam"

     A couple of days passed, Sally was in the kitchen making breakfast for the girls. She seemed in a hurry, Coco came in and saw how her sister was acting
"Oh Sally, I could have made you all breakfast"she told her
"Coco, I'm pretty capable of being a mom" she sounded annoyed
"I know you are, I just wanted to help you out"she said
"I did have help Coco, and he is gone now."she placed the girl's bottles in front of them "Now it's all on me"she said still with her back to her sister
"It doesn't have to Sally, you are still adjusting to this. It's gonna take time
Sally didn't answer her or look at her
"All I'm saying is, let me take care of you"
"Coco I love you and I'm grateful you are staying with me until I feel comfortable. But you need to let me take the lead, let me do things my way" she told her
"Okay, fair enough" she smiled
"Now I need you to watch the girls so I can get ready for work" she said heading upstairs
Coco was taken back at what her sister just said "Work, wait your going in"she said following her
"Ya work doesn't stop because your husband died"she said
"I understand that but Sally everyone will be fine if you take time away for a while"
"I chose not too. Me and Adam worked so hard to make N+S a success and I'm not going to be the reason it falls apart"she closed her door
Coco got worried and called someone
"Hello, this is Sally's sister Coco. I know this is weird of me calling but.."she looked at Sally's door "I could use your help... I'm really worried about her"

Sally pushed the stroller up to the daycare and stood there for a minute. She took a deep breath
Sally came in front of the stroller and bent down "Alright my girls, this is going to be tough but it's big step for us, I know we can do this"she smiled "Mommy needs all the strength today, she can't let this company die, like Daddy"she said moving Mazie's blanket "I know this is going to be hard being here without him"she wiped her tears away
Stacey came out "Oh Sally we weren't expecting to see you so soon" she said
"I know, I just would like to rip the bandaid off now"she gave a small smile "I need to be here for Adam"she looked at the girls "If they are fussy in any way call me" she told her
"Will do" she smiled
Sally kissed the girls and left

Sally stood at the door to the office, her hand on the handle frozen
"Adam give me strength"she whispered "I'm going to make you proud"
Sally slowly opened the door and was shocked
"Adam"she smiled
Her eyes light up when she saw a man facing the window
Nick turned around, disappointing Sally
"Nick what are you doing here"she looked confused
"Funny, I was going to ask the same question"he came closer "Why are you here Sally"
"I had to be here, this company needs me"she said going to the desk
"No Sally, you need to grieve Adam. Your sister called me she's worried about you" he told her
"I'm fine, this is what I need to do so I can heal"
"Not right now, your mind isn't ready to focus on work. It's quite alright to take a leave of absence" he told her
"Why, so you Newman's can take away the company from me"she snapped and slammed on the desk "Not going to happen"
Nick held up his hands "That's not going happen Sally"
"Yes it is Nick, we took it from your sister, she's libel to take it away"Sally moved over to the couch
Nick walked over to her "Sally I know why you think you  need to be here now, but you are not ready"
Sally glared at him "You don't know me at all"
"Sally when you came in you mistakenly thought I was Adam, you mind can't focus on business right"he told her
Sally buried her face in her hands "I can't be at that house any longer Nick"
Nick came over and hugged her

After a few minutes she calmed down, Nick brought her a bottle of water
"Thanks" she whispered
Nick nodded and sat in the chair next to her "I understand why you tried to come in"he said
Sally lean her head on her hand "I'm trying to move on"
"No, you are trying to make everything disappear. And that's not healthy for you or your girls"
Sally looked around "This was his baby,so I thought if I came on work it would help me cope. Knowing how important this was to us"
Nick gave her a sympathetic smile

Sally stayed in the office after Nick left. She walked around remember every memory they had here
"It's not going to be the same without you"she said looking at his desk
"Sal" she heard
"Please don't call that, that's for only for one person" she closed her eyes
"Silly, I am that person" Adam chuckled
Sally turned around "Why do I keep seeing you, you are dead"she asked
"I'm not Sal, our love is so strong . You see me when I think of you"he looked at her
Sally look confused "You keep talking about seeing me, I don't understand"
Adam came and kissed her forehead "I wish I did too, but I know I see you everything feels right"he kissed her lips
Sally opened her eyes and looked around seeing he wasn't there anymore. Sally touched her lips "Why did that so real" she asked herself

Sally went into Society before heading home when she overheard Victoria and Nick talking
"That company isn't going to last, she has no clue what she's doing. And with her state of mind who knows what's gong happen"
Come on Sis, she just lost the love of her life, you'd be the same way and I'd never question you"
"She's losing it Nick, I heard her talking in her office"
"When did you go to her office and why"he asked
"I heard she was in,and want to talk to her about what I said"
"Bows not the time for that, she's sensitive with us" he took a sip of his drink
"Do you know it if Dad ever told her about what happened.. about never finding a body"
Sally looked shocked and left without getting food

Sally was on the floor holding Hadley while Mazie scooted around. She was thinking about what was happening to her
"Mommy doesn't know why she keeps seeing Daddy, something doesn't add up"
The doorbell rang, she got up and placed the girls in their playpen and went and answered the door, she looked back to make sure they were okay
Sally opened the door and she was met with Connor running into her arms holding her tight
"I'm sorry Sally, I didn't mean it" he said hugging her "Please don't be mad"
Sally wrapped her arms around him and held him, she looked up and saw Chelsea coming up to the door with tears in her eyes
Sally kissed the top of Connor's head "I'm not mad at you"she pulled him out of the hole "I know you said that because you were hurting, I have said some things too. It's okay" she had tears in her eyes
"It hurts being here,makes me miss him more"he told her
"Believe me I know, everywhere I go hurts, Adam should be there"
Connor smiled "I missed you" he said
"Oh Con, I missed you too"she placed her hands on his cheeks "Seeing you helps it hurt less"she smiled at him
Connor just hugged her again
"You know I know two other little Newmans you missed you"she said an smiled
"Mazie and Haddie" he said
"Why don't you go see them" she pointed to the other room "They are in there"
Connor ran in
Chelsea came in "This was all him, he felt bad when he realized"
Sally looked at the direction of the living room "He is like his father in  that way"she looked back "But the thought of not seeing him anymore"
"He loves you, in way I can't explain. You are an important person in his life and  I'm grateful for that. I think with everything he was trying push you away so it wouldn't hurt more"
"He pushes away, while I dive head on"she said
Chelsea looked at her "How are you doing"she asked
"I honestly don't know"she looked at Chelsea with tears coming down her face
Chelsea hugged her

Connor was playing with his sister as Sally and Chelsea watched
"Mazie and Haddie are probably the only thing getting me through"Sally said sipping her tea
Chelsea smiled "We both have the best parts of Adam"she told her looking over at her "His kids"
"We do"Sally smiled back. She then looked down "I tried going into work today"she looked at the kids "I was stupid enough to think it would help, but Chelsea it felt worse"
Chelsea took her hand "I understand Sally"
"I don't know  if I'll ever be able go back, and that scares me because I don't want to lose that too"
"Sally no one will blame you or look at you differently if you chose not to continue with N+S. Of course that place hurts it's all Adam"
Sally started running her finger along the rim of the mug "i just don't want to let him down"
"You won't, you could never Sally.It's just going to take time to find your footing in all this" she said
"Time" she scuffed "Everyone says that "it takes time". I hate time" she said in a harsh tone "Because I wasn't given enough time with Adam, my daughters will never know him"
Chelsea hugged her and they cried

Sally stood outside her bedroom, trying to get the courage to go in. She finally stepped in and stood in the dark
"We never got to have a one happy moment in here since the west, we didn't make love or laugh our last moment I had with you all was worry" she said running her hand i over the bedspread
Sally curled up on top of the bed, she felt someone take her hand
