"I wasn't able to help you last time now is my chance"

Adam barely slept he was worried sick for Sally. Even though he just went back to work yesterday he couldn't bring himself to go into the office
He made his morning coffee as he was waiting for it to be done, he was looking through his texts he sent Sally which she never replied. He decided to call this time
"Hey Babe" he paused "If you didn't reply to my texts why would you pick up my call. I had to try though. I know you Sal, and for you to take off you must've been in a lot more pain then I realized and I'm so sorry, sorry that I didn't see.If you ever listen to this I need you to hear this..I love you nothing will ever change that.So if you are afraid to return because of that, you don't have.." he paused and held in his tears "I need to hear your voice Sally so I can be at ease until you come to me. Can you do one thing for me.. please give Wes a lot kisses for me"he sighed before hanging up and cried

  Sally stood in the doorway watching Wes sleep, she barely slept. She stood there listening to the waves crash. She hear her phone go off again Sally looked down knowing who it was and saw a voicemail from Adam
She leaned her head on the doorframe "I knew he would be worried and try to reach out.Adam is probably going out of his mind" she walked over to Wes's crib "I don't mean to scare him but he truly will never understand this feeling" she whispered
Wes began to wake up and started to cry. Sally sighed and picked him up
"This time change is messing you up isn't it" she said softly as she soothed him
"Let's go get the day started and get some food"she told him heading to the kitchen
Sally strapped Wes in his chair and placed it on the counter so she could make his bottle
"What should we do today Wes" she began a conversation with him "I would love to take you to the beach but I want daddy to be there when you see it for the first time" she told him
Sally stood there lost in thought a knock on the door broke her out of it. She knew exactly who it was, she took Wes out of his seat and went to answer the door
"Hey Wyatt" she greeted him as she let out a deep breath
"How did you know it was me.. do you have cameras" he asked
"No.. I mean we do but you are the only one who knows I'm here"she said stepping aside for him to enter
"So I wasn't sure if your coffee taste has changed but I hope this is still your favorite" he handed her a cup
"The only time it changed was when I was pregnant"she chuckled
Wyatt smiled at Wes"Hey buddy how are you liking Cali" he asked
"It seems to suit him" Sally smiled at Wes
Wyatt looked at her "How are you doing" he said in a concerned tone
"I'm good, didn't sleep I forgot how hot it got at nights"she looked at him "Okay go ahead and ask me what you want, the real reason you came back"
"Sally.."he began
"You saw last night a small part of what I have been dealing with and it probably scared you so I understand your concern"
"I have a friend who is a therapist" he said
"Wyatt I have seen therapist" she said as she went over and sat down still holding Wes
Wyatt followed her and sat beside her "You have" he asked
Sally nodded "Yes" she looked down "But not for this"she looked back up at him "I have been through a lot and some pretty dark times"
"I'm sorry I had no idea" he rested his hand on her knee
"Why would you" she got up and put Wes in his playpen "Childhood trauma, my child being kidnapped, almost losing Adam and losing a child. Does a lot to you"
"Wow I'm so sorry. So are you against therapy now" he asked
Sally shook her head "No I just got to a point where maybe I am supposed be broken"she said as tears fell

  Adam was trying to do some work but he couldn't focus. He looked at his phone and stared at the picture of him and Sally. He got an idea and grabbed his keys and left

Wyatt got up and came over to Sally he thought for a second before speaking
"I have witnessed you at your lowest Sally, so I have a right to say this to you. You are not broken Sally, yes a lot has happened but it doesn't mean that you're broken"he placed his hand on her shoulder "It made you strong.. look at the life built, your career, your family. You wouldn't have that if you didn't pull yourself out of the dark hole."he told her
"If that's true Wyatt, why do I feel so lost"she said
"Which is why you should see my friend, she will help you. If it helps you she specializes in postpartum, so she's the perfect person"
Sally nodded slowly
Wyatt pulled her into a hug, they stayed that way for a few minutes
"So I'll call her and set something up for you" he told her
"Don't you think I should call" she asked
"I want to do this for you"he smiled
"You are just afraid I won't call" she crossed her arms
"No I trust you Sally. I wasn't able to help you last time now is my chance"he kissed her cheek "I'll call you later tonight"

  Adam has been driving for hours. And in that time he was thinking of Sally, when their song came on the radio, flashbacks of their life were replaying in his mind.
He remembered the day she entered his office and he knew right then and there this woman was gonna change his life. Their time in Italy was special they were just friends then but it's when he began to fall for her.Then images of when they found out about they were expecting, them memories of holding their children. But them memory that kept coming to mind was their wedding , he married his best friend that day and now that same best friend is away and all he wanted to do was hold her and tell everything will be alright.
"Oh Sally you are my world. I just hope I'm doing the right thing coming to find you" he said out loud and sped up the car

   Sally was sleeping and was woken up by fast knocking. She looked around trying to remember where she was. The knocking continued
"Coming" she said all groggy
"I thought you were gonna call not come over" she said as she opened the door
"You thought I'd stay away Sal" he said softly
"Adam what are you doing here" she said in a cold tone
"I came to ask the same thing" he told her
"I asked you not to come find me"
"Deep down you knew I couldn't stay away when you need me most"
Sally sighed and relaxed a little "I don't know what I need or how you can help me. Adam something inside me is missing or broken"she whispered
"And you think I wouldn't understand, have you met me Sally"he chuckled
Sally leaned against the door "You have a point" she smiled "But how do help me when you don't understand what it's like"
Adam came over and cupped her face and slowly kissed her lips. Sally got lost in the kiss she ran her hands up his body
Adam pulled away "You once brought me back, so I'm gonna do the same"he rested his forehead against hers
Sally began to cry, she went to kiss him again but he pulled away
Sally was confused
"Not yet, you know what you have to do. Figure out what is going on"he caressed her cheek
"What if I can't Adam, what if this is me forever"she cried
"It's not and you know it. You just got pull it out. I'll be waiting for you"he kissed her cheek "Our love will guide you" he whispered in her ear
Sally opened her eyes and a sense of relief came over her "Oh Adam" she said

Adam arrived at the Kansas house and just as he suspected there was no sign that Sally was here.He leaned on the steering wheel and looked at the dark house. Given the hour he decided to spend the night and drive back in the morning
He was heading to the door when his phone began to ring
"Hello" he answered
"Hi is this Adam Newman" a man asked
"Yes, who is this"Adam asked
"This is Wyatt Spencer. I'm sorry for calling at this late hour, but I'm calling in regards to Sally" he told him
Adam's stomach dropped "You saw my wife,Is she okay" he began to worry
"Yes, she is at your house in California. I assume you didn't know" he told him
Adam let out a sigh of relief "I had a feeling she went there" he looked at the Kansas house "After I tried another place" he told him
"You aren't planning to come out are you"Wyatt asked
"As much as I want to Wyatt. I think o should respect Sally's choice. She's is so fragile right and I don't want to break her anymore"
"I have an idea Adam and if you are okay with it .. I can look out for her and keep you posted. This way you can worry a little less"
"Sally won't you are talking to me" he asked
"No she won't. I have a feeling she'll reach out to you soon"he told him
"I hope so... thanks" Adam said
"No problem"he said

  Sally was laying in bed Wes was laying on her legs sucking on his pacifier
"Maybe dreaming of daddy meant I should go back, maybe if I have him with me I can find this missing piece" she said softly "Or maybe I'm supposed to bring you back to him until I figure this out"she added
Sally got a text from Wyatt saying his coming by tomorrow with the therapist
"Well I guess we aren't going home just yet" she told him "My friend Wyatt is bringing someone who can help mommy"she brought him to her chest " I promise Wes, mommy is going figure out why I can't ..."she kissed his head "I want to be the mother you deserve"she said softly
