"You spoil him"

It has been a few weeks since Bentley joined the family and in those weeks to Sally it felt like she had another child. Bentley was into everything . Sally came downstairs to start the day to find that Bentley got out of his cage and into the trash
"BENTLEY"she yelled gong over to him
Adam wasn't far behind when he heard her "What happened" he asked
"Look at our kitchen"she groaned "I have taken care & cleaned up after him. I draw the line at this, it's your turn" she handed Bentley to Adam and walked away
Adam looked down at the puppy "You aren't supposed to be so much trouble" he told him
Bentley pouted
"That only works for Sally, sorry Benny"he said putting him into his cage. Then went to clean the kitchen

Adam came up to their bedroom to take a shower and brought Sally her coffee. She was sitting at her vanity
"Everything is all cleaned up and Bentley is in his area in the living room"he inform her while placing her coffee next to her
"Thanks, I'm sorry for snapping"she said while brushing her hair
Adam bent down and kissed the top of her head "It's all good"he said playing with her hair "Are you coming into work today"he asked
Sally shook her head "No, with the girls in school and now that our baby"she said trying not to get emotional "Is in school as well... I need a day" she said softly
Adam knelt down and wrapped his arms around her "I understand it's totally fine" he kissed her cheek "I'm going to take a quick shower" he told her

Sally spent the day cleaning the house. She was in the closet when she came across something that she was not prepared to find. Sally sat on the floor staring at it, it was a onesie that she brought to tell Adam about the baby. Sally ran her hands over the words that read "Ready or Not Here Comes Another", she started crying thinking of that happy day

Sally had everything set up for Adam to find when he came home. He walked in and saw the gift bag on the coffee table. He walked over to it, it read "Open Me". He carefully opened it and took out what was inside
There was also a teddy bear and a rattle with the onesie
Adam was in shock "Sa..Sal..Sally"he called out
Sally came from upstairs and made her way around the corner "Yes"she said softly trying not to show her excitement
Adam turned to face her "What is this, is this meant from someone else"he asked looking at the items
Sally smiled "If the someone else is our baby then yes" she told him
Adam was in shock "What... you're.. pregnant"
Sally stepped forward and nodded "Yes..Surprise" she held up the test with tears in her eyes
Adam was speechless
"Adam, are not happy...."
"No of course I'm happy, I'm just in shock we weren't trying"
"I know" she looked at the test "I didn't believe it were I saw positive"
Adam came over to her "Oh my God we are having another baby"he cheered picking her up spinning get around ", causing her to laugh
He set her back down then knelt and placed a kiss on her stomach "We already love you"he whispered *********End of Flashback*********
Sally was sobbing "I wonder if you'd look like your Daddy"she said softly "Those few weeks I got with you were so special, my Robin. I'm so sorry"she cried harder holding the onesie tightly against her
As she was emotional Bentley came into the closet with her
Sally was startled to see him "Hey, how did you get up here. I had t try he gate on the stairs"she looked at him "Did you jump over it"
Bentley crawled onto her lap. This melted Sally's heart
"Could you tell I was sad huh"she wondered as she pet him "You know Daddy wants to try again" she started talking to him "For another baby but I'm scared"she looked at Bentley who looked up at her "What do I do Benny. Do we try again or is our family complete... with you" she asked

Adam came home from work and found Sally on the couch with Bentley next to her with his head on her leg
"Someone seems to have changed their mind about the dog on the furniture"he chuckled
"He hasn't left my side in hours"she told Adam while petting him
"Oh no how come" he asked
"He found me crying"she held up the onesie
Adam felt so bad "Oh no Sal, I'm sorry. I forgot I put that in the closet" he told her
Sally sighed and shook her head "It's okay. I think I needed to find it"she gave in a small smile. She stared at it for a few seconds before speaking again "Their due date is ..coming up"
"I know" he nodded "It crossed my mind too"
"I know it wasn't long but.."Sally cried
"Sally we don't have to talk about it" he said
"I need too" she told him reaching for his hand
Adam took it and sat beside her without bumping the dog
"A few weeks ago you asked me about trying again..."
"It's fine by me if we don't if it's to hard. We kind of have another child with Bentley"he rubbed his head
Sally laughed "We do"she looked back the onesie "Finding this took me back to the day I told you"she was quiet
"Sal"he caressed her cheek
"Yes, I'm afraid what happened with Robin will happen again. Like I know my doctor said it's unlikely."
"I wish I could promise you that it won't but I can't."
"Finding out I got carry another one of our baby's brought so much joy, it surprise. We weren't trying. So losing it hurt more. And I don't want to replace what we lost"
"Sally we wouldn't. There's this place in our heart reserved for only Robin"he placed her hand on his heart
Sally looked into his eyes "Okay"she said softly
"Okay what" he was confused
"Let's try, I'm ready"she told him
Adam's eyes lite up "Are you sure"he asked
Sally nodded "Like you said our family isn't complete.. it's wasn't before Robin and isn't now"she said as Adam was wiping her tears away
"So we are trying for another baby"he said
Sally leaned in and kissed him
Bentley started growling causing both of them to pull away and look down at him
"Hey she is my wife. I had her first"Adam said pointing at himself telling the dog
Sally laughed "It's okay Benny"she smiled at him, Bentley jumped off her and ran to his dog bed
"Now where were we"Adam said pulling her onto his lap.
They began to kiss again. It started off slow and steady, then Sally deepened the kiss with a hunger
"How long before we need to get the kids from school"Adam asked as she was kissing his neck
"Not for a couple hours, since you came home early" she pulled away "Why"she asked pretending not to know why he asked
Adam caught on "You are so mean" he kissed her neck
Sally was giggling she pulled herself out of his hold and playfully ran away
Adam chased after her. He caught her by the stairs and grabbed her by the waist
"No"she squealed
Adam brought her down on to the step. Sally pulled him into her snd began kissing him again
"It's been forever since we began on the stairs" she said
"Well it's been forever since we had no kids in the house" Adam said as he started removing her shirt
Sally stopped him "Oh wait do we have protection"she said trying to stay serious
Adam chuckled and began tickling her "Stop being mean" he told her
"Admit it, it turns you on, when I tease you"
"Oh you know it does"he said going back to kissing her
He picked her up and went to their bedroom

Sally was finishing making dinner, when Adam returned home from picking up the girls from school.Mazie ran in first
"Hey Mommy"she came up and hugged her
"Hey Maz, did you have a good day at school"Sally asked gently cupping Mazie's face
"Yep, I love first grade" she told her
Sally gave her a kiss "That makes Mommy so happy"she smiled
Eden entered next dragging her backpack looking sad
"What's wrong Bug"Sally asked
"I like it better when I'm with you"she told her and pouted
Sally came over to her and picked her up "Oh Baby, I promise you give it a few more weeks and you'll love it"she kissed her cheek "And you want to know a secret" she asked leaning into her ear "Mommy loved it when it was just us too" she whispered
Eden hugged her tight
Sally saw Adam come in carrying Hadley who was crying. She placed Eden down and came over to them
"Hadley what is wrong" she asked rubbing back
"I don't like not being in class without Mazie" she cried
Sally moved hair away from Hadley's face "Oh Bean"she sighed "It's okay it's good to be independent"she told her "I made your favorite" she smiled
"Mac and Cheese" Hadley asked
"Yes" she said,grabbing Haddie from Adam

During dinner Hadley wasn't eating much. Sally noticed
"You okay Bean" she asked
Hadley didn't answer. She got up and crawled onto Sally. Sally just held her looking at Adam with confusion
"First grade must be a lot"Adam laughed "For our energetic girl to be tired"
Sally gave her a kiss on the top of her head

They were getting ready for bed. Adam walked in the bathroom and came over to her
"The house is locked up and Bentley is asleep in his cage"he told her as he put his hands on her waist
"Let's hope he stays there tonight" she said leaning into him "Do you think is odd Haddie fell asleep before 7:30"she asked
"It's the first full week of school, she's adjusting"he told her
"I guess so"she sighed "I'm exhausted too"
Adam picked her up in his arms "Well let me get my girl to bed"he kissed her
Sally wrapped her arms around his neck "You spoil me"
When they went back into the bedroom, they were shocked to see Bentley on the bed waiting for them
"Bentley, how are you getting out" Adam asked
He set Sally back down and went to get him off the bed
"No leave him, he can stay for tonight"she told him
"When did you become the good cop in this family" Adam chuckled
"Just look at his face"she looked at him then at Adam
Adam caved "Fine just for tonight"he said getting into bed
Sally got in and Bentley laid on her side, Adam turned to her
"You spoil him" he said
Sally smirked "You should talk"she said petting Bentley
