"Your move Newman"

It was a hot day in August and Sally still hasn't had the baby, even though she told Adam they wouldn't try to induce labor he did offer a couple times because he felt bad how discouraged she was getting. Adam woke up first and went over to her side as she opened her eyes
"Morning, any sign of Bug making an appearance today" he said rubbing her arm
"Not at the moment"she said still sleepy "Do you want to try real quick"she smirked
Adam leaned down "As much as I would totally do that for you. We can't right now for two reasons. One our girls will be waking up any minute"he stroked her cheek "And sadly I need to go into work"he told her
Sally pouted "We are the bosses do you have too"she said sitting up
"Only for half a day, I need to her things set up for when I do take time with you"he said
"Okay" she said
"But I promise you when I get home if you want we will try more remedies to get things going lol
"If Big hasn't come the last couple times we tried something, you really think it's gonna work this time" Sally chuckled
"Anything is possible" he laughed

Sally was laying on the couch while the girls were playing. She was watching them
"Don't you want to come out Bug and play with your sisters" she said rubbing her bump
Mazie came over to her and handed her Mom a toy
"You ready to meet your new sibling"Sally asked stroking Mazie's face
Just then Sally's phone rang, she answered it
"Hello"she said
"Hey Sally it's Nikki, how are you doing" she asked
"I'm ready for this baby to come"she sighed "It's crazy how the twins were a little early and this child seems like they never come"
Nikki chuckled "Pretty soon Hon. I have an idea how would you like for me to take the girls for the day. That way you can rest"she offered
"You would do that"
"Of course I love spending time with them. Unless you want to spending time with them. I know how precious the moments with your first babies are before a new arrival is"she said
"It is"she smiled her girls "You can come get them"she said
"Alright I'll come by soon"she said

It looked like a storm was coming when Nikki came and got them. Sally was putting the girls in the car, it help her that they could now climb into the car so she didn't have to lift them
"You girls be good for Nana"she smiled at Nikki when she said it
Since the hospital Sally she felt a bond with her and asked if she'd like to go by Nana and Nikki graciously accepted
"They always are"she smiled at them
Sally kissed them goodbye. Just as Adam pulled in he got out and went over to the car
"What's going on, are you okay" he looked at Sally
"Yes, I'm good. Nikki offer to take Mazie and Haddie for me... well now us so I can rest"she told him
Adam looked at his daughters "Well Mazie and Haddie you have fun and done let Grandpa buy you two horses"he pointed his finger at them with a smile
"He has already been looking, but I told him he needed to hold off until they are five"Nikki told him
"Thank you"Sally gave a small chuckle "Bye my girls"
    They waved to them as Nikki pulled away. Sally turned to Adam when the car was gone
"Now about that promise" she smirked
Adam  took her hand "Come on"he chuckled "I feel like we have had more sex now then we have during our whole relationship"he joked as he was guiding her into the house

  Adam brought them into their room. He kissed her like she was so delicate. He began to walk them to the bed and carefully lowered her without breaking the kiss. He brushed his hands gently across her face. Sally started to unbutton his work shirt
"Are you ready for what is this round 77"he joked
"Shut up"she laughed pulling him into a kiss
   As they were making love it started thundering startling both of them. They pulled away
"Well it's a good thing Nikki came and got them when she did, it sounds bad out there"he said looking at the window
"Yes it does let's hope the girls aren't freaking out for them"Sally said
"Well if they are it's payback"Adam said kissing her neck
Sally playfully hit him "Will you stop it"she laughed

   Sally was getting dressed when Adam came out of the bathroom
"Adam, remember when you said I looked beautiful pregnant"she said turning to him "I hope you meant thst because I don't think this baby is EVER coming" she groaned
Adam laughed
"Don't it's not funny" she said while she was trying not to laugh herself
"I'm sorry" he hugged her and kissed her head
"Why don't they want to come out" she buried her head into him "And it's so hot" she complained
"How about we try and get your mind off of Bug's stubbornness and the heat and we go have so ice cream"he suggested
"That's sounds heavenly" she sighed and smiled at him
Adam took her hand and headed downstairs

   They were sitting at the counter eating, Adam was playfully trying to take a scup for her bowl
"Stop you have your own" she pulled away "Why are you trying to take mine"
"Your chocolate sauce looks so much better then mine" he said trying to take some again "I need to see if it tastes better"
"Oh do you now"Sally said taking some and tasting it smiling
"Well is it" he asked
"I don't know let me try yours" she took some and tasted it
"What you complain about me taking some of yours but you can just steal mine.. what are you five"he teased
"No, I was seeing if mine was actually better" she smirked "But I can be five" she said placing some on his face laughing
Adam looked at her stunned
"Your move Newman"she said licking her finger
Adam just grabbed her and pulled her into him and started kissing her face causing her to giggle "Bet you didn't expect that" he said pulling away
"No" she said wiping her face off "Smooth move"she said
Adam saw she missed some and began to kiss her "It does taste better" he smiled
Sally pulled him back in and kissed him. They made out for a while. Adam pulled away
"What's that look for" she asked
"I love doing life with you"he caressed her cheek "I feel like it's been long time since had a moment like this .. just us" he smiled
"Life with kids is crazy"she said"Let's make a promise  before this child joins us. That we make time for us"she told him
Adam took her left hand and kissed her ring "I promise"he smiled
"I promise" she smiled back she went to lean in for a kiss but stopped
"You okay" Adam looked concerned
"Ya, I need to go to the bathroom.. I can't wait for when I don't have to do this anymore" she laughed as she left

   Adam was cleaning up the dishes. The storm was getting worse. He got an alert for flooding and trees down. Adam decided to call and check on the girls
"Hello"Victor answered
"Hey Dad, how are the girls they doing okay with the storm"he asked
"They are good Nikki is reading them a story. It's crazy how fast this storm happened"Victor told him
"Yes, I know I got an alert on my phone, the girls might need to spend the night if it doesn't lighten up"Adam told him
"That's fine, we have the guest room with their cribs so not to worry"he told his son
"Alright call of Mazie starts freaking out a lot"he said then hanging up

   Adam went to check on Sally because she was gone for a long time. He found her still in the bathroom hunched over the sink
"Sally are okay"Adam went to her
Sally shook her head not being able to talk holding her stomach
"Sal, what's wrong"he asked
"I thought.. Bug was making me go to the bathroom"she exhaled before standing up "But looks like they decided it was time"she smiled "I just started having contractions"she added
Adam stood in front of her with a blank stare
"Adam did you hear me, the day we have been waiting for has finally come this is it the baby is coming" she said all giddy
Adam placed his hands on her shoulders "Ya I heard you and I'm excited to finally meet Bug" he said
"Then tell your face Adam, you look like someone told you your pet died or something" she chuckled
Adam took her hand "Come sit, I need to tell you something" he said taking her to their bedroom and sat on the bed
"Adam what is wrong" she asked
"Babe,what I am about to tell you isn't meant to scare you or anything and it might not be an issue but umm.."Adam paused
"Adam tell me now is it our girls" she began to panic
"No they are fine. Just got off the phone with my father. Sally this about the storm. It just got really bad... it's probably the worst summer storm we ever had"he told her
"Then we should go now before it gets even more worse"she said heading to the door
Adam grabbed her wrist "Sal, you know I do anything for you but I won't risk
us getting into an accident"
"Then you can call an ambulance.."another contraction hit "Ahh"she bent over
Adam grabbed onto her "I got you" he said softly rubbing circles on her back
Once it passed, they looked at each other
"Sally it's not safe and I won't risk it I'm sorry. This storm is bad that.." he looked into her eyes "Baby we might need to prepare to have this baby here"he told her
Sally stood frozen as a clap of thunder and the sound of rain crashing into  the house
