"I know but I'm tired of being positive, I'm just so tired"

        The routine Adam and Sally came up Witt after Hadley's transplant and in the waiting period was one of them would be with her while the other with Mazie and Eden. When Adam was home with the girls he'd go into work while they were at school. Sally took a leave of absence, her mind was focusing on the new trends in fashion. Adam understood. Today was a day Sally was at the hospital and Adam was home
     Sally was fluffing up Haddie's pillow "Is that better Bean" she said
"Mommy, why can't I go home"she asked
Sally sighed and sat on the bed "We talked about this the doctors need you to stay for little bit longer to make sure your body can handle fighting off germs. As soon as they know your body is doing what it's supposed to you'll be able to go home"she said softly
"I miss my bed and I miss Mazie and I crawling into each other's bed"she cried
Sally picked her up and laid with her on her lap "I know you do and you have been so strong throughout this whole thing Bean"she kissed her head as she got teary eyed "Mommy misses walking by your room catching you two together" she whispered "You want to know something"Sally asked
Hadley looked at her and nodded
"On days when Daddy is here with you and Mommy is home your sister crawls in bed with me"she told her "Now I don't know if she does it with Daddy, but your sister misses you too" she hugged her
Sally wanted to get her mind off things "What would my girl like to do, we can color or read"she tickled her "Or dance"
Hadley stopped giggling "I want to go home"she curled up into her mom
"Hopefully soon" she said

   Adam was at his desk when Audra walked in surprised to see him
"Oh hi Adam,I'm guessing it's a good day with Haddie if you are here"
"Yes, she's having a good day so Sally is with her. I just came to check the quarter numbers"he said looking at the folder
"We are doing good, considering that Sally took a step back from her line"she told him
"Ya, her hearts not in it"
"Understandably, I know sometimes she throws herself into work to help cope with things, this time is different" she sat down "I feel bad with stepping in here for you guys I haven't been there for her"
You're holding the fort down for us here, she understands and appreciates it" he told her
"How is she doing with everything and the pregnancy" Audra asked
"She's doing good,I honestly don't know how she does it" he said
"I'm glad well you tell her I'll check in with her in a couple of day" she smiled
Adam nodded

   Sally and Haddie were reading when there was a knock on the door. Elena popped her head in
Sally smiled "Hey what brings you by" she asked
"I was in the neighborhood, by neighborhood I mean working" she laughed walking in "I'm on break and thought I'd bring you and Haddie something to eat. I got you a sandwich and tea" she handed it to Sally "And for Haddie I got you some chocolate pudding" she handed to her
"Aw that's so thoughtful"Sally looked at Haddie "What do we say to Elena"
"Thank you" Haddie said smiling
"Thanks, but why do I have feeling Adam put you up to this to make sure I'm taking care of me and the baby"
"No he didn't, just a friend being there for another friend"she told Sally
Sally got off the bed and put her food down "I don't know how you do it Elena, working here staring at these walls every day"
"It can be challenging for sure,but"she looked at Haddie who was eating "The joy it brings me helping people get better and heal helps a lot"
Sally crossed her arms and looked at her daughter "She's getting stir crazy and so am I. And it's to cold bring her outside"
"Have they said anything about when she can go home"
Sally shook her head "No, they just keep telling us they are monitoring her to see if she get fever, but Elena she's been fine"she gestured at Haddie
"I know it's hard it takes week to see any result"she rubbed her back "Waiting is the longest part because things could happen and better for her to be here"
Sally nodded "I know but I'm tired of being positive, I'm just so tired"she leaned on Elena. She then looked over and saw Haddie with chocolate pudding on her face and started laughing
"Someone must have enjoyed that" Elena said
Sally went over end wiped it off Haddie's face
"You need to eat too Mama"she told her
"Yes doctor" she winked at her " I will"
"You better because if you don't Adam will be on to baby sit you" she pointed at her "I need to get back" she blew her a kiss
"Okay, thanks for the visit" Sally smiled
As Elena was leaving Hadley's doctor walked in
"Hello Sally and hello Miss Haddie"she smiled
"Are you here for my afternoon check up"Haddie asked knowing by now what happens when
"Not this time. I came to discuss something with your Mommy" she said
"Is everything okay"Sally got worried
"Everything is fine"she told her "This about something good. How would like go home Hadley" she smiled
"Wait are you serious" Sally was in shock
"Yes, her reading are good and there has been no sign of a set back. They have better then I've ever in a patient. She'll still to do some treatments and come in for check ups, but even though we love seeing her smiling face,I don't see any reason for her to stay here"
Sally was in tears "When can she .. go home"Sally asked
"We will check her one more time and give you all the paperwork on what to do and what not to with her home for the time being. I'd say by dinner time you'll be hone"she looked at Hadley
Sally went up and hugged the doctor "Oh my God, thank you, thank you ,thank you so much"
"You are welcome" she said
"I need to call my husband give him the good news" Sally said
"Of course, I'll be back with that paperwork"she told her then left
Sally hugged Hadley "Oh Bean, did you hear that you are going home"she kissed her a bunch times "We have to call Daddy"Sally grabbed her phone

   Adam was in the middle of the pickup line when his phone rang
"Hey Sal, is everything okay do you need anything"he asked
"I need you to come to the hospital" she said
Adam could tell she was crying "Sally what's wrong" he said
"Nothing is wrong" she smiled at Haddie "Do you want to tell Daddy"she asked handing her the phone
"Daddy"Hadley said
"Hey Haddie Bean what's going on"he asked
"Daddy I get to come home" she said all excited
"What no way" he was surprised and cheered
Sally took the phone back "So will you come get two of your girls" she said moving Hadley's hair out of her face
"I'll be there as soon as I can"he told her and hung up
Mazie and Eden got into the car getting into their seats
"Are we going home" Mazie asked
"Daddy needs to drop you off at the ranch with Grandpa and Nana Nikki for a bit" he told them as he began to drive
"How come"Eden asked
"Is it Hadley" Mazie asked
Adam wanted to surprise them "Daddy needs to take care of something real quick. Once I'm done I'll come get you"he smiled at them through the rear view mirror

  Adam walked into the hospital room Hadley was sitting on the bed with her bear. Sally was packing up her things
"So this is really happening it's official "Adam said
Sally turned towards him "Yea it's real"she ran up to hug him "Our girl is coming home Adam" she held him tight
Adam wrapped his arms around her "I can't believe we prayed for this day and it's here" he kissed her neck
They pulled away Sally holding Adam smiling at Hadley
"Bean are excited to finally come home"he walked over to her
Hadley jumped into his arms "Yes"she said
"So are Mommy and Daddy" he hugged her, Sally came up and hugged them too "We can surprise your sisters"
Sally ran her fingers through Hadley's hair "The doctor did give us some instructions on what she can and can't do for now" she told him
"Sounds good we will look at them tonight"he smiled at Haddie
"Are you ready to get out of here" he asked Sally
Sally was crying "Oh you know it"she smiled
Adam gently kissed Sally's forehead
Adam was wheeling Hadley out "So Hadley Siena what what's the first thing you want to do when we get home" he asked
"Decorate for Christmas"she said
Sally smiled and leaned to Adam as they left
"I think we can do that, we can't do everything tonight though"he said

  They arrived home Adam carrying Hadley, Sally following behind
"We have been waiting for this day.Home sweet home Bean"he said as he sat on the couch and kissed her forehead
Sally exhaled and stood in front of them "I feel like I can finally breathe"she smiled cradling her bump
"I know"he smiled "I'm going to go get our other two girls then we will celebrate"he gave Hadley another kiss
Sally took his place "Okay we will be here waiting" she smiled at him "It feels so good to say that"
Adam quickly have Sally a kiss on her head then left
Hadley curled into Sally
"No more hospitals" she said
"Hopefully not any time soon"she said pulling her close
Bentley jumped up and laid by Sally
"Oh Benny look who's home it's Haddie" she said
Haddie started petting him "Hi Benny I missed you too"
They stayed like that for a few minutes
"The baby is making Mommy hungry do you want to have a snack while we wait for Daddy"
"Popsicle" Haddie said throwing her hand of in the air
"You got it Bean coming right up"Sally gave her a kiss before getting up

   Adam was driving home with Mazie and Eden asking so many questions
"Where did you go Daddy" Eden asked
"Probably work I heard Grandpa mention how Daddy being back at work he's becoming a workaholic"
"Nope it wasn't about work ... but remind me to have a talk with Grandpa on what he discusses with you girls around. It was something even better. How would like to decorate for Christmas"
"But we do that the  week before  Santa comes"Mazie said
"I know we do, we are doing things differently this year for a very special reason" he smiled

   He got the girls out of the car and they entered to find Sally sitting on the step finishing up her popsicle
"Mama"Eden ran up and hugged her
"Oh Bug hi my love"she chuckled 
"Mommy why are you home .. is it more news"Mazie got nervous
Adam placed his  hands on her shoulders and shook his head
"Well we do have news"she smiled at Adam "Let me show girls instead" she took their hands and lead them into the  living room "Mazie and Eden look who is finally home"Sally voice broke
Hadley was sitting on the couch with her bear
"HADLEY" they both said running over to her
"Be gentle girls"Adam came up and wrapped his arms around Sally
They watched as all them were giggled and hugging
"All my girls are home"Adam said
Sally rested her head on his chest
Hadley looked over at them "Daddy, can we decorate now" she smiled
"Yes, Daddy will go get the totes. Mommy I think this calls for some special hot cocoa"he said
Eden got upset "Daddy that's our Aunt"
Sally laughed "He means chocolate, hot chocolate Bug.  Want to help Mama make it" she reached for her hand
Eden came over and ran into the kitchen
Sally looked back and watched her twins cuddled close. It warmed her heart. Her family was starting to get back to normal
"Mama I can't reach the marshmallows"Eden yelled
Sally laughed she shook her head then went to help Eden
