"You aren't alone now.Adam is here for you"

    It was early in the morning Sally walked into Crimson Lights for her caffeine fix. Sharon came out from the back room
"Good morning Sally"she greeted her
"Oh morning, I didn't see you there. How are you" she asked
"I'm doing good. I hope business is doing good for you" Sharon asked
"Yes, we are doing good. I'm actually planning event in LA for the line" Sally stopped talking
Sharon noticed "Sally you okay"she asked
"Ya,I'm good" she shook off her thought
"That's amazing about the success of the fashion line" she told her "Would you like your usual"she asked
"That would be great, thanks"Sally smiled
As Sharon was pouring Sally's coffee "So how are things with the family"
"We are..."Sally was trying to find the words "I'm sure you heard by now  Adam and I are separated"she told her looking down
Sharon nodded "Ya, I did see Adam staying the ranch. I'm sorry to hear that, I hope things work out for you two"
Sally turned to hide her tears "Keeping it together for the kids is hard."
"If you ever need vent I'm hear to listen"Sharon smiled
Sharon looked over and saw Adam and Eden entering the coffee house
"Mama"Eden called out
Sally turned around and put on a smile "Hey, aren't you supposed to be going to camp"she asked picking her up for a hug
"We we're heading that way until Miss Eden saw Mama's car and needed a hug and apparently a muffin"Adam told her "Hello Sharon" he greeted her
"Oh well I could always go for a Eden hug"she squeezed her tighter
Sharon looked on and smiled "Hello Eden you have gotten so big"
"I'm going to be five soon" she told Sharon by holding up her hand
Sharon got all excited for her "Oh you're practically a teenager" she joked. She lean over "Did I hear you wanted a muffin"she asked
Eden nodded her head
"How would you like to come in the back with me, I think fresh ones just came out of the oven. You can have the first to have one"she asked
"Can I"Eden looked at Sharon
"Only it's okay with your parents"Sharon looked at both Sally and Adam  then back at Eden with a smile
Both Sally and Adam smiled "Go on" Adam told her
Sally set Eden down and she followed Sharon

   Adam came up  next to her. Sally picked up her cup
"Are you okay"he asked
"I'm good"she told him walking over to the counter to put cream in her coffee "Why do you ask Adam"she looked back at her coffee
"Come on Sal, between what I saw and the call last night. And I don't think Eden noticed but you look like you are ready to cry
"I was talking to Sharon about the separation. She kind of figured with you living on the ranch"she told him
Adam wasn't buying it but nodded
"I want to apologize about how you found out about the divorce papers. I never meant for you to find out. I want to explain to you I had them drawn up on probably my worst day. I thought I was doing what was best for us"
Sally.."he couldn't continue
Eden ran out "I got to pick two muffins"she said with excitement and ran to Sally
"You are one lucky girl"Adam smiled at her
"You better not tell your sisters" Sally said playing with Eden's ponytail
"Alright Bug we got to get going"Adam told her "Say goodbye to Mama"he said
Eden hugged her "Bye Mama"
"Bye, I love you and I hope you have a fun day" she gave her a kiss
"And say thank you to Sharon"
"Thanks Sharon"Eden said taking a bite of one of the muffins
"You are so welcome"Sharon smiled "You have a  fun day at camp"
"By Sharon, Sally I'll see you at the office" he said taking Eden's hand
"Okay"she gave him a small smile
Adam and Eden left. Sharon watched Sally for a second
"You okay"she asked
"Yes, thanks for being so sweet to Eden"Sally said
"Of course she's a sweet little girl you and Adam are raising some incredible kids. She's the best parts of the both of you two"
Sally nodded "And I know you only took Eden to give us some privacy" she informed her
"What are you talking about, Eden wanted a muffin and I had fresh ones"she winked at her with a smile "But I do hope you two were able to talk and it helped a little"
"I think it did"Sally told her "I should get going. Have a good day" Sally smiled

   During the day Sally was at her desk lost in thought. She didn't even hear Audra calling her
"Sally"she said again
Sally jumped "What sorry, did you need anything"she asked trying to focus back on work
Audra came over and sat in front of her "Work can wait, I need to be a friend"she told her "Sally what's going on"she asked
"It's nothing" Sally shook it off
"It's not nothing Sally. You have been a million miles away. And you have been pretty good at keeping it together at work, especially working near Adam"
"Adam isn't the issue, yes we are going through a rough time"Sally started to say while playing with her blouse
"I know you two been struggling to cope with what happened it was traumatic for the two of you and we never know the answers to why those things happen"Audra told her
"That's what Adam said"Sally sighed
"So what has you zoned out today" Audra asked
"Adam found the divorce papers"she said quietly
"Oh I thought you decided not to..."Audra said
"I did, I just forgot to destroy them. Then I was reminded I still had them"Sally groaned "Why did I even have Christine draw them up"she placed her head in her hands
"You we're struggling Sally, we do some crazy things when something like this happens"Audra told her
Sally looked out the window
"Sally, did I ever tell you about the time Adam got the call"
Sally shook her head
"We just finished our meeting and he and was telling all the special things he was going to do with the kids while you were away. Then his phone rang and I watched that man's face go white. We didn't know the details about what happened but that didn't matter to him he couldn't get to you fast enough. He hated that you were all alone in New York"
"I think that's a big reason I shut down when it happened, it still hurts I was all alone"she cried
Audra reached over and took her hand "You aren't alone now.Adam is here for you at the same time he has been dealing with it too"she told her "Sally I have watched both of you and I can tell the only way to overcome this is if you do it together"
"Talking about in therapy hurts I can't bring myself to talk to him"
"Then maybe you can start by listening to him and when you are ready I bet you Adam will do the same"she smiled

  Sally walked into Adam's office and knocked. Adam looked up
"It's not like you too knock"he chuckled
"Can I come in" she asked "Or are you busy"
"I'm never to busy for you"he closed his laptop "What brought on this visit"he asked
Sally walked over and sat in the couch and sighed "I was talking to Audra and she gave some good advice"she looked at him
"What kind of advice" he asked leaning back on his chair
"About us, mostly me" she said
"I'm listening Sally" he said
"I know I have been a lot since..."she paused "I'm sorry"she said
Adam came over and sat next to her "Sally it's okay we all handle things differently. I just wish you leaned on me"he ran his finger along her hand
"I wanted to I really did, but something inside me wouldn't let me" she told him
"Are you saying you are finally ready to talk"Adam sounded hopeful
"Kind of.., you see Audra suggested maybe I could let you talk and I listen and when I'm ready you'd do the same" she said
Adam took her hands in his "I could do that and I want to do that. I just have one request" he asked
"What is that" she asked
"I don't want to talk about it here" he looked his watch "We still have time before you need to get the kids we can go hom... to the house"he corrected himself
Sally nodded "That's fine" she got up and headed to the door
Adam followed
They were almost out of the office when Sally's cellphone rang
"Hello" she answered "Yes this is Sally Newman"she quickly looked at Adam in panic "Yes, of course we are on our way"she hung up
"Sally what is it what's wrong"he frantically asked
"Eden fell.. she ... fell off the monkey bars and hit her head... they are taking .. her to the.. hospi...tal"she was shaking telling him
"Let's go, I'll drive"Adam told her and placed his hand on her back as they walked out

    Adam and Sally ran into the ER, frantically looking for the desk. Adam finally went up
"Hi, I'm looking for Eden  Newman we are her parents"he told the nurse
She looked at the computer "Oh yes I'll page the doctor to come talk to you" she told him
"No we need to see our daughter now, she is only four. She's probably scared"Adam demanded
Sally placed her hand on Adam's shoulder to calm him down "Adam it's okay, you freaking out isn't gonna bring us to Eden sooner"she told him
"I'm sorry" he said to both the nurse and Sally
The teacher came up to them "Mr and Mrs. Newman"she said
They both turned around
"Eden is the back with the doctor right now. That's all I know. Our director is with her too so she's not alone"
"How did this happen"Sally asked
"All the kids were playing on the playground and she was following the bigger kids. Eden's foot slipped and she fell through hitting head"she informed them
Just then the doctor came out "Are you Eden Newman's parents"he asked
"Yes can we see our daughter"Adam asked
"First how is she"Sally asked
"Eden is going fine, she does have a small concussion and her left wrist is sprained from the fall" he told them
"Oh my God, my poor baby" Sally gasped
Adam turned to the teacher "If we find out you were negligent we will sue" he yelled
Sally grabbed his hand "Adam it's not the time to threaten anyone. Eden needs us"she said softly then looked back at the doctor "Where is our daughter" Sally asked
"Follow me" he guided them back

   Sally walked into the room with Adam following her. The director stood up and let them go to their daughter
"Oh my Bug" Sally came up to her and gave her kisses
"Mama I had a accident"she said looking sad
"We heard"she sat beside her and wrapped her arm around Eden
"How are you feeling Bug" Adam asked as he sat on the bed
"My head hurts" she told him
"What I told you about being like those monkeys on the bed" he gave her a silly look
Eden giggled
"Can we go home" she asked
Sally was stroking her hair "Pretty soon they need to run one more test"she kissed her head
"Then Mama is going to take you home, so you can rest in bed"Adam told her
Eden grabbed Adam's hand "Can Daddy come" she smiled
Sally looked at Eden then up at Adam "Yes, Daddy can come too" she smiled
