"I'm not missing it,I'm seeing it now"

It had been a couple weeks things with Sally seemed to be at a stand still. She goes to see Cindy twice a week in the afternoon. Which she was getting ready for. Things with her and Wes have been okay, some days she felt like things were improving and other days it felt like nothing has changed
Sally brought Wes to his play mat, just as there was a knock at the door
"Oh that must be Wyatt coming to hang with you again"she told him as she placed toys around him
She went to the door and opened it. Wyatt gave her a questionable look
"I'm sorry I thought I was coming by so you could go to therapy. Why do you look like you are about to go to the gym"he asked
"Because I am going for a run"she said walking away to get her phone "With Cindy" she smiled back
"Oh" he said then he went over to Wes "Hey champ are you ready to hang out. I might even teach you about spreadsheets, though it might bore you and put you to sleep .. like it does for me sometimes" he joked
Sally laughed at him "Oh I don't know Wyatt he might enjoy it, he is a Newman after all"she stated
Wyatt smiled "So how are you doing" he asked
"I'm okay"she told him "If he gets hungry which he might. Everything is set up for you" she pointed
"I know it's not first time with him Sally" he told her
"Right"she nervously smiled "Okay, mommy will be back soon" she came over and kissed Wes "Don't enjoy those spreadsheets too much" she tickled him

  Sally and Cindy were running for a bit so they took a break and sat on the bench
"You know this is how me and Adam bonded"Sally told Cindy "We would run into each other.. literally" she chuckled "And the rest is history"she said
"You talk a lot about Adam"Cindy told her
"Is that a problem"Sally asked
"Not at all Sally. But we are to get to the source of the issues you're having of this dark time.. as you called it. It's clear Adam isn't the cause of it. They way your eyes light up talking about him. So how about we try a new topic today"
"Okay.. like what" Sally asked
"Let's talk about your time with Wes here.. how's that going" she asked
"Fine"she took a sip of her water "It's strange I know he is my baby but I feel like I'm baby sitting for a friend sometimes"
"That's okay Sally"she said softly
Sally shook her head "No it's not, I can't explain it but I have these dreams..."
"What kind of dreams Sally"Cindy asked a little worried "Do you harm him in these dreams"she added
"Oh God no"Sally exhaled "It's more of puzzle like I see different images that could be real or not. But it always end the same ... I ask where my baby is"she cried "Then I hear him cry"she was shaking "I also had one where he was being ripped out of arms and I couldn't yell"
Cindy took her hand "Sally, how is this making you feel right now"
"Confused and scared. When I wake I go to his room.Sometimes I hold him close"
"Oh Sally this is good"she told her
"How so.."Sally asked
"Because what you're feeling is what you wanted. The next time you have these dreams try to see them through it might lead you to the answers. To the connection to him that you crave" she told her
Sally look down "You know everyone says he looks like me"she said spinning her wedding ring "I want to see it, but I don't"
"You will once your mind allows"she smiled
"What if I'm like this forever Cindy. What if the only way to help me is meds"she panicked
"Sally, look at me" she told her
Sally did
"Yes medication is an option, but in most case it's not necessary. You are so close to seeing light through this.But I promise you .. if and that's a big if you need meds I'll help you and Adam okay"
Sally slowly nodded

   Wyatt brought Wes to the table, holding him in his lap
"Now Wes, I told your mommy I was going teach you about spreadsheets but I have something else planned"he leaned close to Wes "I hope your mommy isn't to mad"
Wyatt hit the button and Adam came onto the screen
"Hey there's my biscuit, it's daddy"he sighed "Oh it's so good to see you, you gotten so big"he told him
"Do see daddy Wes"Wyatt smiled
"Oh I miss  those cheeks"Adam couldn't stop smiling at his son "You doing okay biscuit, you look happy" he told him
"I know he misses you" Wyatt told him
"Thanks for doing this"Adam said "I know it's asking a lot"
"No worries, we just got to hope Sally doesn't find out. I promised you I'd take care of her and him" he gestured to Wes "I know it's killing you being with him"he said
"How is she"Adam asked "The last time we talked she seemed to be coming around"
Wyatt looked down at Wes "She is.. some days it's hard. I only see her when she goes to therapy .. I try to give her space to you know figure it"he looked at Wes again "When she comes back from therapy it's like she's her old self. One time she went straight to Wes like her life depended on it"
"Our kids our Sally's world Wyatt.Which broke my heart to see her so distant with this guy"
"I get it, I can tell she's gotten closer to him"Wyatt looked at Adam "She's your world too. I'm really happy she found you"
Adam nodded "Thanks"
"Look Sally should be home soon so we should go"he told Adam
"Alright okay.Daddy has to go but I love to the moon and back, biscuit" he blew him a kiss
"Say bye bye daddy" Wyatt waves Wes's little hand

Sally was walking along the boardwalk after leaving Cindy. She was going over what they talked about. She was lost in thought she wasn't watching where she was going bumping into someone
"Oh I'm so sorry.."she started saying then realizing who it was "Connor" she was surprised to see her stepson
"Sally, I'm sorry I didn't see you"he said
"It's okay, what are you doing in California"she asked
"I'm here with some friends for a couple days" he told her. He gave her a look "What are you doing here.. is dad here" he asked
Sally got a sad look "You're father didn't tell you" she asked
"Tell me what.., are you and him breaking up"he got sad
Sally stared at him for a second "You know what let's grab something to eat, do you have time"
Connor nodded
"Good, I'll explain everything to you"she told him

"Oh Sally I'm so sorry" he said
"Thanks me too"she said
"I'm surprised dad didn't tell me"he wondered
"He probably didn't want you to worry.. or upset me more."
"Sally.. do you still love dad"he asked
"Con, this has nothing to do with me not loving him"she looked down "This was all me something inside wasn't connecting. You know my love for your father it's helped keep fighting and not give up"
Connor sighed "But you kind of did Sally,you came here.. with Wes and without our dad"he sounded a little annoyed
Sally looked down "I did.. and even though you're a young adult now .. it's hard to understand. But the connection I felt when I had your sisters, I couldn't feel it with Wes and that broke me and it felt I was hurting your father"
Connor gave her another look "But you are Sally" he told her
Sally was a little shocked
"You are hurting, by being away .. by taking his son"he told her
"I know and I'm sorry.. it's not forever and if your father loves like I love him. He'll understand and hopefully won't hold it against me"she said softly
"Maybe I should go see him" Connor said
"I think your father would like that very much.. considering your sisters still at camp" she sat back
Connor shook his head "No not him, I meant I should come see my brother" he smiled
Sally smiled back at him

Wyatt was struggling to put Wes down for his nap, he refused it which he knew Wes loved his naps
"I guess you are to wound up from seeing your daddy"he said rocking him "You know Wes I knew your before she met your daddy"he smiled "She had this spunk that I loved. But seeing her less herself these days saddens me. Because your mommy she's one of a kind and I lucky enough to get to love her a little while. If me and her ended up together..."
"My kids would be here" Sally said softly
Wyatt looked over "I'm trying to get him to sleep but.."he noticed a young man standing beside her "Who is this"he asked
Sally looked over and smiled and put her arm around Connor "Oh Wyatt this is my stepson Connor"she informed him
"Who is this Sally"Connor pulled away "Your boyfriend"
Sally was a taken back. Wyatt came over and handed Wes to Sally
"I should get going" he told her
"No can you stay" she sounded a little panicked
Wyatt squeezed her arm "You'll be fine okay. We will talk later"he told her "Nice meeting you Connor" he said before leaving
Sally looked at the door then back at Connor "Con, you I love your father.. I'd never cheat on him. But you should Wyatt"she gestured to the door with her body "He isn't a boyfriend.. I didn't run off to be with another man. What I told you at the café is all true"she said hold Wes tightly to her
"I'm sorry" he exhaled "I'm still understand all this and with my parents past it's hard to not think the worst"
"It's okay.. honestly I'm still trying to understand it myself" she gave him a small smile. She looked at Wes ""Hey Wesley, this is your big brother" she said all excited "This is Connor"she went close to Connor "Would like to hold him" she asked
Connor nodded and took him gently from Sally
"Hi lil bro" he smiled at him "It's so nice to meet you finally"he told him going over to the couch and sitting down
Sally smiled on watching the oldest and youngest together. She loved how Wes looked at Connor
"I heard a lot about you" he lean in close "Don't you worry being surrounded by girls isn't so bad"he chuckled and smiled at Sally
"Let me get a picture of the two of you" she went and grabbed her phone "1,2,3"she captured it "Perfect"she smiled at it
"We should do a selfie" he suggested
Sally reluctantly smiled and came over and they took a couple
"You should send them to dad"he said looking down at Wes, who fell asleep
Once Sally heard that she broke down in tears, Connor felt bad
"Sally I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you" he said
"No"she shook her head and placed her hand on his shoulder "You didn't do anything wrong. I just realized I robbed of this moment. Witnessing his first born meeting his last baby"
"Sally dad won't be mad, he'll have a lot other moment. He will understand"
Sally hugged him then took Wes from him
"I'll send it to him later, right now I want to spend some time with my boys" she smiled at both of them

Later that night Sally was rocking Wes to sleep, he was laying across her chest. She looked at the pictures she took today and the ones Connor took of her with Wes, that she didn't know he did. She sent them to Adam
"I'm sorry I robbed you of this memory and you missed it. But look at our boys"she sent it with the pictures
She also sent him the video he took of Connor playing with Wes
A few minutes later she got a response and she smiled
Adam replied "I'm not missing it I'm seeing it now" with a heart emoji "I love you Sal"
Sally stared at the message a couple more seconds. Then she put all her focus on her sleeping child. She kissed his head and
