"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for. The Sekai Taikai Tournament of Champions." Gunther announced as the team all walked to their spot along the mat. Syd was actually excited, ready to just give it her all and let whatever happened, happen.

Her little brother would be watching, after all. And she wanted to show him the best possible fight he could ever see.

Syd smiled as she looked at Robby, the two quickly beginning to laugh as they begun doing their secret handshake they'd invented one day while at Cobra Kai, both teens grabbing each others opposite hands and spinning around for a moment before they stopped, each using their right hand and high-fiving up before meeting down, Syd spinning around before Robby did the same. They ended it with a double fist bump, Syd wiggling her fingers toward the boy after as he began to try (and fail) to wiggle his body like he was doing an upright worm.

"Well, now I feel ready." Robby laughed, shaking his head. "Nothing gets you in the zone like a good old fashioned handshake." Syd agreed, turning to look out at the competition.

"Hey, Syd?" Robby wondered, looking the girls way. "Mmm?" She wondered in return, facing him again. "I just wanted to thank you. For being such a good friend to me from start to finish. When I joined Cobra Kai I was ready to be public enemy number one the whole time, but you were cool to me and it warmed everyone up. I don't think I've ever told you how much that meant to me." Robby spoke truthfully.

"Oh, dude, hello." Syd laughed, wiping her eyes quickly. "That was so sweet what the fuck."

Robby just laughed, shaking his head. "This is going to sound strange, but I've always wondered... could you tell I had a crush on you when I first joined?" Syds eyes widened as she looked toward the boy, stopping herself from actually laughing. "Um, what? No, I had no idea. I don't tend to have a keen eye for that sort of thing."

"Damn. Well, no offense, but I'm happy you didn't see it. Cause if I hadn't have given up there I never would have found out how much I connected with Tory." The boy continued. Syd smiled lightly, happy where the story ended up. "Well, then I'm glad. Honestly, even if I had noticed I wouldn't have done anything... I was a bit, taken."

Robby looked at her confused, eyes suddenly widening at the information before he laughed. "No way! You were totally a double agent."

"What? Nuh-uh. I just... didn't actually break up with Eli after the fight at Sams. And we kinda hid the fact that we were still dating all the way till the waterpark incident." Syd admitted, kind of finding the whole situation humorous now that she looked back on it.

Everything really had felt so serious back then.

Robby smiled, shaking his head. "I should have guessed. Honestly, any of us should have just guessed. Now that I know all that, you two were horrible at hiding it."
