florida is one hell of a drug
Eras Tour, Kansas City Night 2
Taylor's POV - after the show
I rubbed my temples, trying to urge the painkillers to kick in as I glared across the table at my boyfriend. He'd been making far too much noise all afternoon, and I was unnecessarily pissed off.
Honestly, he pissed me off a lot in general.
"What's that face for?" Joe asked, almost slamming the minifridge shut and flopping down onto the couch. My eyes snapped over to him, narrowing. "What?" He mumbled.
"Nothing." I muttered, looking away. Then there was a soft knock on the door and I glanced up as Tree came in.
"Hey you." She smiled kindly at me, putting me at ease immediately. "You wanna come with me a sec? Got something to show you." She glanced at Joe. "I'll bring her right back."
"Kay." I rose, glad I'd changed into comfy clothes, feet cushioned in soft little shoes. I was just glad to be rid of Joe for a little bit.
I left with Tree, running my hands through my hair as we walked. She seemed to get that I was a little worn down and didn't talk too much, just updating me on the flights out in a few days. Then we walked around a corner, and my eyes rose to a tall man leaning against a wall, waiting for me.
"Oh!" My breath choked up in my throat as my eyes widened, and Tree hid a smile.
"I'll be with Joe when you're done." She murmured, giving me a little nudge before leaving me with the man who smiled softly at me.
Oh this was dangerous territory, and Tree knew it too. But for some reason, she'd brought me here. And she was keeping Joe away. God, she was encouraging my bad habits.
Two years ago, when Joe and I had decided to take some time apart, I'd ended up in Florida with some girls. One night, drunk at a bar, I'd gone home with a stranger and woken up in his bed. I'd gone back to his room almost every night after that for a week, and then I'd gone home and never seen him again. Joe and I had reconciled, and that had been in the past. Joe didn't know about it, and I figured he never needed to.
But now, Travis motherfucking Kelce was in front of me again. The man who had turned my world upside down for a week, made me light up, and kissed me goodbye for so long when I'd left that it had made me reconsider my whole life.

"You know, you don't have to go back." Travis murmured as we lay in his bed together, naked and tangled in sheets warm from the morning sun. I sighed, looking over my shoulder at him where he was tracing slow shapes on my back.
"I kinda do." I told him. "I have so many things scheduled. Super famous over here, remember?"
"Hey, what does that make me?" He asked.
"Decently famous." I retorted.
"Oh you're in for it now Swift."
I squealed as Travis grabbed me by the waist, flipping me over onto my back and tickling my sides. Giggles burst from my lips in waves as I squirmed, trying to fight him off, but he was far too strong and I was a mess of wriggles. Travis hummed, pleased with himself as he dipped down to kiss my neck slowly, his hands stilling against my waist. My eyes slipped closed, head tilting back as I moved to stroke his hair.
"I do have to go back." I whispered, almost silently. "Back to my regular life. We knew this was only a short thing."
"I know." Travis sighed, kissing his way up my jaw to my lips. He hovered there, and I opened my eyes to meet his gaze. "This has just been the best week of my life." He murmured. "It's so easy to want to forget everything waiting for me outside of this."
