Taylor's POV

"And what about if we overlay a pink fade?" Someone suggested.

"Mhm, maybe." I sighed, uncrossing and recrossing my legs as my eyes wandered away from the zoom call for half a second, over to the few mock up album covers on my desk.

We'd been in an online meeting for a long time, talking about the last few tweaks to the visual aspects of the new album, things like that. I had about six different ones in front of me, but none felt quite right. This was the most difficult it had ever been for me to settle on an end product.

"Taylor, if you want to do another shoot, we can." Tree said when I was silent for a long moment.

"No." I shook my head. "No, we've taken up too much time."

"Taylor." Tree chuckled. "These albums need to be perfect. No one's going to be annoyed if we re-do any shoots or editing."

I laughed, nodding to myself as we lapsed back into conversation. As we discussed changes, there was a light knock on my home office door, and I glanced up to see Travis edging in a little. I smiled, reaching over to mute myself on the call so we wouldn't interrupt.

"Hey baby." I whispered.

"Hey." Travis came over, glancing at my screen. "Still on huh?"

"Yeah." I gave him a sympathetic smile. "Sorry. I know I've been working all day."

"No it's okay." He shook his head, reaching over to touch my cheek. "But do you think you're almost done?" Travis had this hopeful edge to his voice, and I glanced up. "I...miss you." He admitted.

"Oh, baby I know." I touched his hand. "I'm sorry."

I felt bad. Him and I had been so busy with work lately, me more than him. Travis was always waiting for me to finish up lately, and I always felt terrible when I was holed up in my office for hours.

"Did you want to come shower?" Travis asked hopefully.

"Soon." I promised. "I won't be long."

"Okay." He sighed, giving me a small smile. I nodded, and my eyes lingered on him as he left so I could get back to the call.

My gaze remained on the door even after Travis had left, guilt rushing through me. He'd been so happy I'd finally finished up in New York and had been able to come to KC with him, but I barely worked any less. It was just a busy time, and Travis understood that, but it still made me feel awful when I saw the slight tells that he was upset about it. He'd never let me know, but I saw it.

"Taylor?"

"Yeah." I snapped back into reality, lifting my head. "Okay. I want another shoot."

That led into a whole new discussion, casting everything we'd already done to the side and bringing in new ideas. The sun slowly set further down in the sky as I sketched ideas while people spoke, making sure everything that caught my attention was written down.

Eventually, most people logged off, leaving just Tree and I talking together. We went over the things we'd already nailed down, upcoming events, things like that. As we talked, there was another knock on my door.

"That Travis again?" Tree chuckled, and I nodded as I glanced up, putting my sketching down.

"Yeah baby?" I called out, and the door swung open. "Hi." I smiled sympathetically. "I'm sorry, I know I'm taking a long time."

"I just wanted to tell you that dinner was ready." Travis told me. "I can bring it in here if you're too busy sweetie."

"No, no baby don't do that." I reached out and Travis came over, taking my hand and pressing a kiss to my fingers. "I'm not making you eat dinner alone. I'll be done really soon okay?"
